The good thing is that he doesn't have the weight of expectations to be the top guy, like Wiggins and Towns had.

to be honest, it may be a good thing. He can concentrate on defense, bulling to the rim, and you know having a Rubio to feed him easy looks to begin his career will hopefully give him confidence.

I am certain, that a big part of why Wiggins never worked out, is because he was given the ball with the green light by game 30 of his rookie year, and as long as he chucked in 20/game, he was content, and clearly so were we. Having Edwards concentrate on becoming a consistent defender, and letting him slowly ease into a bigger and bigger offensive role, assuming he can develop, it a great thing.

On the one hand yes. But I was thinking of Williams (this time Derrick, not Patrick Williams that stuck in my mind when I was listing our players &#128563.
Did he have the weight of being a star. He had the thing with no clear position, but in a sense so does Edwards.
On another note, I know Rubio is supposed to play with Edwards to help him, but I kind of want him on the starting lineup. He fits nicely next to D'Lo. He is a leader and plays D.

100% !! Let's just hope the coaches and the management see it that way.

Do think Ricky will get plenty of minutes with both the starters and the second team.... He is probably more valuable to this team than he was the 1st go around. Watched a few of his games the past few years with Utah and Phoenix and he still doesn't finish well at the rim but his shot has dramatically improved.

Still think we need to find one more PG for depth though.....

Skor north had Rosas on. On his own he referred a little bit on Rubio and just touched on the D, saying that they need to build the culture. Whatever that means. He was asked by the hosts about Beasley, he was reassuring that they trust him.

P.s. been a couple of days since I watched it. Hope I remember it well

I would make an effort, if I am Ryan Saunders, to make sure the bulk of Edwards minutes are coming with Rubio. That is just me...

as far as Rubio/D-Lo playing together, I imagine we see it a lot. Hell I imagine Rubio is playing 30-32 mpg, as will D-Lo. Which means Culver/Edwards will be fighting for those minutes at the wing, assuming Beasley is eating up 30 a night.

    For minutes, I would guess:

    D-Lo:32
    Rubio: 30
    Beasley: 30
    Culver: 15
    Edwards: 28
Okogie: 12 (I think he sees 15 mpg at PF)

now, we have 90 mpg at the 3 guard/wing spots, and with injuries, etc, the minutes I listed are going to add up to more than 90. So keep that in mind. To be honest, unless Culver has come into camp and improved a ton, he will likely be traded for roster balance this season.

yeah I watched Rubio too. He stinks at the rim as usual haha, and he isn't going to be as pesky in the passing lanes as he used to be, his lateral quickness isn't the same. But he will bring effort, fundamentals, and still get a lot of steals/rebounds/assists. I mean the fact that he literally gift wrapped 5 baskets for others a game is huge, and if he can at least get our guys to understand how to defend at the point of attack better, mission accomplished.

Man I can't wait for Deni Avdija to play some regular season games so I can tell everyone to their face that I was right about the kid being a stud. God I wish we would have traded down and took him. He would be a phenomenal fit here.

    PSD Grammar Lesson #1:

    a) their - stands for "belonging to them"
    b) there - means "over there" as in location
    c) they're - short for "they are"

I liked bey and also precious. I would have preferred pick 17 and johnson to Rubio and bolermo. Wasn’t a fan of that pick and Rubio is just ok to me, I guess I like the vet presence who seemingly fits in most.

Mcdaniels pick I liked, moving up from our 2nd and getting him and one of the guys I mentioned at 17 would have been a good draft to me for sure. He is also risky but there is nice upside on both sides of the ball I feel.

    Grade: B+

Overall we get like a B/B- from me.

Edwards reminds me of Anthony Bennett. You guys had him so you know the familiarity like big physically raw talent yet no passion for the game to improve. I would have taken either Wiseman or Ball else I trade way down in the 20s for two future 1st along with a pure shooter like Bane who catch and shoots like Curry.

As a RFA, better off letting Malik sign an offer sheet and then match then offering 60 mil off the bat cause its doubtful he get anywhere close to that with legal issues [emoji1751]
