We look forward to having his strong positive presence back as a teammate, player and person in our community."

"Hater" is a term used by weak minded people in the face of legitimate criticism.

the rest of the season was easily justifiable, and that's what he got

Well as we know from the other thread at the time, it wasn't justifiable with the lopsided punishment, as the aggressor got very little.

But the season is over, there isn't any need to prevent him from contacting the team in the offseason.

What Rudolph got or didn't get is a completely different discussion from what Garrett got.....suspended for the season was EASILY justified by what he did and few in that thread disagreed. There's been no reason for players to be at team facilities just yet, hence my question about your 'about time' response.

But it shouldn't be a different discussion because it was a punishment from an altercation involving the two of them. When Rudolph got off so light, Garrett should have only gotten a couple games.

You guys are far from lawyers. Two people involved in the same altercation but doing different things IN that altercation are not going to get the same punishment. Rudolph didn't wield a deadly weapon and swing it with intent, being fortunate someone was inbetween to lessen the potential impact. Should Rudolph have gotten more? Certainly, but that does nothing to lessen what Garrett did.

And some of you now talking 2 games weren't saying that back then, either.

    This.

Actually just a sample of what was posted:

Mason - 4 game check fine

Garrett should get a full year, imo.
    Mason should get 6.
Pounce should get 6. You canít go kicking people in the head.
Other OL that was punching, 3-4.

    By this standard:
    Garrett - 5 mins
    Rudolph - 7 mins
Pouncey - ejected (equivalent to ~20 mins)

Scaling up to NFL standards, probably something like:
    Garrett - 3-4 games
    Rudolph - 5-6 games
Pouncey - rest of the year

Sure, the actions Pouncey took were the least violent, but adding more people to the fight is the highest crime in sports fighting, typically. Rudolph wouldn't have gotten bonked if he hadn't assaulted for the 3rd time (throwing down, twisting helmet, going after Garrett to get helmet back) and was the one who started the events. Garrett did the same Rudolph did with helmet removal, and the bonk was equivalent to the punches he received, especially accounting for the self defense angle.

Obviously if Rudolph doesn't instigate, none of it happens. But also once he had lost his helmet for being a douche, he should have stopped and asked the ref to get it, instead of going for a third instigation.

Browns player that knocked Rudolph down helmetless suspended 1

All of these will be appealed and reduced, that's why they should start on the higher end of the scale
Quite a fews initial statements would indicate Myles got less than expected.

In addition Iím glad the NFL took care of this sooner than later, didnít drag their feet. Weíre within 10 days of the Super Bowl ended when it was announced. Kinda always fell ďindefinitelyĒ was the NFLs way of covering their *** in case the Browns made the playoffs.

different things? they were fighting lol. Rudolph ripped at Garretts head twisting and pulling. Then kicked and punched Garretts ding dong. THEN Garrett hit Rudolph. They both hit each other Garretts worse of course but people act as if Garrett shot Rudolph lol. Dude was not even hurt.

I'm not arguing Garretts suspension anymore. is what it is. Still crazy though Rudolph got zero games. zero. Finished that game and played the following weeks. crazy crazy.
