The number of positive cases is presumably much high and... they're all fine.

    Sadly predictable.

Hospital should pay recovered patients for their blood, it could probably help boost supply.

I have read that some placed do pay for the plasma. The blood center where I donate, does not.

Good job brother. This is helping. Do you know if you have IgG or Igm antibodies?

They should have started implementing distance guidelines for crowded places like arenas and mass public transit. Private sports leagues stepped up and took more responsibility than the govt by shutting down on their own.

We flattened the curve but the curve should have never spiked the way it did to begin with. We had numerous real life examples play out in front of us in Wuhan, Italy, and Iran, yet we sat there and did nothing. That's unacceptable.

150k is an embarrassment. It's a failure. Maybe 30k or 40k was inevitable, sure, but not THIS much. Not opening and closing back down. That's shoddy leadership. Wearing masks from February alone would have probably drop the death count 70%.

Is this your professional opinion? What qualifies you to make this statement?

What percentage of patients that "died" from Covid19 actually died from Covid19? Have you seen any of these patients or are you relying on Huffpost?

Actually, I "wondered what the real numbers are out there". You offered an answer to a different question almost as to avoid my actual question.

The numbers being reported aren't real, can we go from there?

According to a Dr. friend of mine, again, just one man's opinion, but from the stuff he is privy to an discussions he has had with colleagues, he has the percentage of COVID only deaths at about 10%.

Take a look at my personal example of my wife's friend. She was going to die within weeks to a month, terminal brain cancer and **** was in her bones. COVID didn't kill her, yet the number reported says otherwise.

Still wondered what in the world happened to the flu? Kind of disappeared.

I dont know if its as low as 10% but it is certainly no where near the reported amount of deaths. The deaths we are seeing (I've worked in several facilities with Covid across the country) are mostly diabetic renal patients... as well as anyone who is immunosupressed. In my anecdotal experience, Id put Covid deaths (a death that would not have occured otherwise) at most as 25% of the reported total.

No I didn't. I offered my thoughts on what the "real numbers" are. You agreed with me (well at least with part of my response), yet are now claiming I avoided your question entirely.

You can go from wherever you want. If the path you're taking is claiming the numbers are a complete hoax or something, I won't be following you. Everything that I've come across (well everything that isn't some silly conspiracy at least) shows that the infected numbers are way low, since not enough people are being tested. In terms of death numbers, it sounds like most experts believe they're being undercounted if anything due to lack of test kits available early on in the pandemic amongst other things. The numbers not being perfect is not the same as the numbers "not being real". There's always going to be a margin of error in reporting on something like this.

One doctor friend and one personal example has you all in on thinking this thing is a big sham?

If that's what you gathered, well, ok I guess.

Sham, no, but I do think it's certainly not as it appears. You do throw words in my mouth though, I never said the numbers were a hoax. I think it's fair to wonder what the true numbers are, do you not?

Our county has had 7 deaths. I already gave you the info on the friend of ours, the average age for the other 6, 84. One was from a car wreck, still marked COVID. A couple were from a nursing home.

Just doesn't all add up is all I'm saying.

It's not a professional opinion, but I have taken epidemiology at a graduate level, and I'm not sure if you guys in healthcare did, but if you did you can either vouch for or against me..

Any ****in idiot that has taken epidemiology knows this. It's the most basic ****, its epi 101.

That sounds insane. Your friend sound like a witch doctor, lol.

What is his reasoning that lead him to say 10%? Lol, I cant even take that **** seriously, but ask him what his basis is. I'm very curious.

We can say with high confidence that New York city's initial outbreak numbers were fairly accurate given that they adjusted them based on past years data. They actually undercounted it by about 3,000 when matched against past years statistics. So if we know this about nyc numbers, how could the current death counts be 10%, it would go against the initial data we had regarding this thing.
