You couldn’t pay me to trade Dom at this point. We don’t need another 5th starter and making trades during COVID sounds really messy. Just bring up Peterson and call it a day.

I just hope next year, Uncle Steve owns the team and sees that Cano is *******.

I genuinely think that with the appropriate amount of reps, JD could be an average third baseman and Dom could be an average LFer. Regardless, the addition of the DH makes it pretty easy to get both of these guys reps.

Cespedes and Cano are ****ing terrible. I don’t want to see them being anything more than pinch hitters but considering how it looks like Cano is going to be batting 3rd, I honestly might not even pay much attention to baseball this year.

A 2021 lineup does however, intrigue me.

1B - Alonso
RF - Conforto
3B - Davis
LF - Dom
C - Ramos
DH - ???
SS - Rosario

Good thing about the DH is that it limits exposure to our defensive liabilities like Dom and JD. We could put each of them in the field for 50-75 games and not have an adverse effect on the defense.

I don’t know, I just don’t want to see Cespedes or Cano ever again.

The newly expanded playoff format, which I'm not a fan of, takes a bit of pressure off the need to overpay for a #5. Gives us time to see if someone steps up, and how quickly Stroman heals.
