I rather think they should take a page from the NHL... they can have say a 30 man roster.... but on gameday, they can only have 25 or 26 as active.. and the rest listed as inactive... so in the event of a DH, they do a bit of shifting and inactivate different players... Without having to send them down... That would mean that SP from game 1 could be inactive (and thus ineligible) for game 2 of a DH...

There is also talk of expanding the rosters a bit too because of the DH's and limited ST... so we'll have to see what they come up with.
That 26 player roster wasn't just for DH's, it was every game.

Graciously the Yankees have a deep farm system...and they're going to need to depend on it, again.

Glad Clint Frazier is going to get more playing time.

He probably won't now. By the time they start playing Stanton will be healthy and Hicks won't be too far away.

Good news: All minor league players will be receiving $400 a week from Major League Baseball teams through at least May 31, source tells ESPN. They’ll receive medical benefits, too. Announcement by the league is expected soon.

Owners and league officials have been discussing for weeks a plan in which minor leaguers would be paid. As @jjcoop36, who first raised this possibility, said, the lower minor leaguers actually will get raises while the veterans will fall short of expected salaries. Still a boon.

Happy to hear they're doing something to help the Minor Leaguers.

Hate to bring more bad news. I got a text from my buddy/source last night, he said that people inside the Yanks and Mets are not expecting baseball in NYC atleast for most of the season, if their is one.
He said they were briefed that because NYC is pretty much the epicenter in the US for this virus that they don't have a legit model when it would be safe to play with players/ fans in such close quarters.

He also did say that they are looking at neutral site locations but he said trying to play a whole season, however long it maybe, would be a logistical nightmare.

He also said another factor that makes this 10x more complicated is trying to scedule MILB games as well. The kids have to play and be ready to come up in case of injury ect.

As always take it for whatever it worth

Why can’t the MLB players donate some of their money to help pay?
