Oh. That's why you are sitting training.

Maybe you should restart the thread without using the dreaded word "politically" in the opening salvo. How about let's get back to baseball and I can stop reading about Mazda's trunk? or let's get back to baseball and stop reading about...multiple other things on the OT thread (too numerous to name them all).

What do you propose we discuss in the Off Topic thread?

When season officially begins I will unstick the off season thread and allow it to die a natural death.

So all freaking winter all I heard and read on here was Francisco Lindor and Josh Hader coming in a trade.

    So WTF are they?

All of those rumors coming from bloggers are all BS!

    They don’t know anything!

Gerrit Cole talking pitching to a group of young Yanks pitchers including Sevy, lets hope he can be the leader of the staff we all hoped he can be. Having him around to mentor all these younger pitchers especially Sevy is one of the biggest reasons i wanted him. Anyone else hear his press conference yesterday when he was talking pitching and the importance of the difference between throwing a FB to the outside of a RH hitter and throwing a a FB to a LH hitter on the inside corner even though they are pretty much the same pitch?

His whole press conference was impressive and its absolutely understandable why we weren't going to let anyone outbid us for him. IMO he's going to be a hell of a player for us.. Lets just hope he can help Sevy the way Verlander, who i used to respect, helped Cole

Day, I wasn’t pointing just you or Leo out because those rumors were going on outside of here too.

I just feel people see potential deals and love to create stories.

I wonder if cole's "I don't work for the anymore" had to do with the knowledge of cheating.

Clown thats a hell of a good question. Also the fact that there was zero interest in going back there either. I always got the feeling that there was an underlying problem between Cole and the Astros especially with they way he immediately distanced himself from them as well.
It makes sense that was his protest of what was going on.

The amount of players coming out and talking about how pissed they are, the reports that owners are insanely pissed at how light the punishment was. I don't see this going away anytime soon.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.
