I can see laosigia being a very good reliever but the next closer? Come on that is far fetched . I mean as good as betances has shown at times , even he isn’t a closer .

Someone may need to inform the Yanks. They seem to be grooming him for a starting role. They currently have him listed as #5 in the depth chart. Today they dealt with his innings more as a starter imo.

That could all change quickly once the season is underway and the roles get sorted a bit better.

Wouldn’t be the first time the front office screwed up a pitcher

    Day, remember what I said....

The same group of impact players are all made of glass. The new training staff is not going to all of sudden cure them.

Sevy, Pax, Hicks, Judge, Big Mike, Sanchez, Bird(had to include him)

    Send them all packing!

Frazier, Tauchman, Gardy, Andujar,Monty and Lasagna will be more productive then those injured riddled stiffs!

Cole signed a deal to come to the Yankees with and expected lineup of Judge/Stanton/Sanchez and Sevy as a bullpen bro.

He must be a bit miffed about all of this.

Leo had to cancel his ST trip this year. Ain’t nobody got time for Corona!

Instead, I’ll be on a boat. A very nice boat.

Day, the Yankees want him to be a starter. Who said he won’t be a starter?

    Thst is your opinion.

Every starter doesn’t have to be 6ft 4 and 230lbs

What did that big frame do to Sevy?

Your arm can either handle 185 innings per season or not.

    And Sevy could not.

His small gram means little. He has stuff to get major leaguers out.

Lasagna will probably be more effective as a starter than Sevy ever will.

Quit thinking all starters have to be a certain build.

Um I would think that laosigia’s injury history as a starter would be enough to leave him in the bullpen

For the most part these players are just numbers. They are like men going into the battlefield. There are always replacements ready to go so just use them til they can’t pitch anymore.
