Would you work 1/2 your normal workload for 1/5 of your pay? Doubtful.

I would if my original pay was in the millions and had about half the year off . These players are greedy sobs who get paid all that money to play a childrenís game

Easy to say when you're not making millions.

Only way I see there being a season is the players take more cuts for the season.

But, the salary is deferred with interest.

So kind of a win win situation.

Bottom line is, baseball has been losing fans for years.

If they don't play this year, possible they strike in a year or so if a new CBA isn't reached.

I could see this being the downfall of major league baseball.

I agree. Had a similar thought last week that if there is no season, the already small and dwindling baseball audience is going to shrink by a lot more. Major League Baseball can't afford to not play imo. Especially if NHL and NBA figure out how to restart.

Well, if the owners lose money for no fans on the stands why canít the players lose some money too?

This is not a normal year, a national crisis and these ball players are complaining about fckn paycuts is just ridiculous.

It is simple business. No or very very little revenue makes the pie very tiny, ask ally crumbs and the damn players feel they have to get all of their money from that pie is fckn ridiculous. And I do. It give a damn what the owners have made outside of baseball.

Any business would fold up if they just paid all payroll with no revenue.

Not fair during a normal season (81 games)of fans in the stands but fair when you have zero to very little revenue coming in. But there is no fans.

Of course not but would your company be in business with no revenue?

A lot of Teams would save their business if there was no season.

The players have to realize money comes from fans and TV revenue.

The Pie needs to be cut fair for the players and owners with regards to TV revenue..

No season is bad for the sport. Iíll still watch baseball in future seasons because it is my favorite sport by a mile over football. The Yankees, the 162 games everyday for 6 months plus a month of spring training and a month of postseason keep me interested. 8 months of the sport....

Anyone who knows anything about running a business , knows that no revenue means no salary . Atleast here in mlb , there would still be salaries . The owners should take a stand and say if there is no season the players take a larger cut than if there was a season . I know that will will never happen but itís just my opinion
