Lakers guard Danny Green on the proposed Dec. 22 start to next season:

"If we start in December, I think most guys [are like] 'I'm not going to be there... to have that quick of a restart, I wouldn't expect [LeBron] to be there for the 1st month of the season."

Ultimately, all Green’s miss cost the Lakers was a few extra nights in Orlando, as they’d go on to beat the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. But even if his miss ended up having more dire consequences, he wouldn’t have apologized to the thousands of Lakers fans he upset, as he explained on The Ringer NBA Show: “You know human nature of fans, they’re just very emotional. They take the game very serious and they see us as performers and if we’re not performing the way we’re supposed to then we’re supposed to apologize for it. No, I don’t owe you an apology. Whether I played ****** or not. You’re not my boss, coach, and I’m not gonna apologize for missing shots. I’ll apologize to my teammates for missed mistakes, missed assignments, if I mess up a play or defensively don’t make a rotation. But no, I don’t owe you anything.” – via Christian Rivas @ Silverscreenandroll.com

It was not only a game! It was a full season with a very slow motion performance. Go away! I hope.

He’s going to get traded. He’s no where near Danny Green Spurs version. He’s a valuable 15M expiring contract. I think because he’s won in other places (Toronto and San Antonio) that he doesn’t fully grasp this whole idea of playing in LA as a Laker. In some aspects, Danny Green is too championship spoiled and championship proud. But his career is just a very very poor man’s Robert Horry (HOU,LAL,SAS). Although he won in other places and played for other legendary coaches and all-time greats, Rob understands the whole dynamic and pressure of Lakerland And the fans and the drama that goes into it all and now that he looks back on his career, he embraces it.

Danny ain’t laker material. He just came to us cuz Kawhi went to the Clippers or else Danny would’ve gone to the Mavs had Kawhi chosen the Lakers.

He was always the plan B in free agency. And now this offseason, he’s very very low on the offseason priority list.

Re-signing AD and keeping Do & KCP and maybe even Keiff are all higher priorities than Danny friggin Green and his overrated podcast.

Very well said. Teams are going to try to give us crappy contracts back to mess our cap for the future. They know we are gunning for Giannis. I just hope for a trade exception but I don’t know how many teams are under the cap.

I don't think Bron will care he missed the shot. Missed shots happen. He took it.

He didn't pull a Morris. He didn't pull a JR Smith.

It was a bad miss... but if the lakers move on from him somehow its more due to him regressing over the past few years.

Lo and behold, his two most famous clients, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, showed up at the Los Angeles gym to watch. NBA scouts and executives were not permitted into the gym for this made-for-TV event that was not governed by NBA rules. The Pro Day, sources said, was watched by the Knicks on TV. Other Paul clients gathered included Draymond Green, Tristan Thompson, Trae Young and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. According to a source, some agents were unhappy with the setup, feeling it was unwarranted exposure for Paul’s clients, but the NBA let it go on. – via Marc Berman @ New York Post
