When Anthony hit the game-winner and hit those back to back 3s, it was, ‘Wow, here’s a guy who’s on a big stage for the first time and he’s not even a 3-point shooter like that and he hit back to back 3s to win the game.’ It said, ‘Okay, maybe this guy is an alpha superstar who didn’t have the tools around him to be that.’ … It changes the ceiling and the runway for this Lakers team. Maybe when LeBron slows down Anthony can take over and be the best player in the world.”
Davis gave Warriors a little run with a very average team. Davis is the future and Lebron will depend more on him as the time progresses. He will be sure Davis has the pieces around him when he retires. These two are bodies.

AD proved a lot of people wrong in these playoffs, I wasn't sure he would answer the call for his first tenure at the biggest stage but he did and it was beautiful to watch, he's a winner.

    Agree.

He had a few games where he played a little timid or was in foul trouble early.

But he learned along the way and played his best when we needed him.

That playoff experience will allow him to keep growing and improving as he now knows what it takes.

AD is the future of this team.

Plus if you get CP3 to the Lakers, you would have to get rid of Rajon Rondo because Rondo and Paul hate each other. They always have and you think they would co exist if they are on the same team? The last time these mans saw each other foreal foreal they got into a fight...cue Lakers/Rockets...Rondo has never liked Paul and the feeling is mutual on Chris' part

If I'm the Lakers, I keep Rondo and have him as my starting PG going into next season. Get rid of KCP at the 1.

Bron will quell all that if need be.

JR smith knocked crowder the f out dirty dirty style. But they both came together to play with Lebron in Cleveland. With Bron running things, Valdemort and Harry Potter would come together and form the most dynamic backcourt the nba has ever seen.

Green speaking for others? Who gave him the power to speak for other players in the Lakers organization?

    Logan Murdock
    @loganmmurdock
Lakers guard Danny Green on the proposed Dec. 22 start to next season:

"If we start in December, I think most guys [are like] 'I'm not going to be there... to have that quick of a restart, I wouldn't expect [LeBron] to be there for the 1st month of the season."

Report: NBA teams told salary cap won't drop below 2019-20 level

Some NBA teams have been told the 2020-21 salary cap won't be lower than $109 million - the same as last season - according to ESPN's Bobby Marks.

"That is what they've been assured," Marks said on The Lowe Post podcast. "It will be no lower than 109. It could be 111."

The 2020-21 cap was projected at $115 million prior to the coronavirus pandemic. That number was $1 million less than the projection before the NBA's political controversy with Chinese business interests last fall.

Both instances cost the league substantial revenue in 2019-20, although it was reported last week that the Walt Disney World Resort bubble salvaged approximately $1.5 billion in losses.

By keeping the salary cap flat, teams should avoid a financial shock to their systems. Marks added teams are lobbying for the luxury-tax level to hit at $139 million next season, about $7 million more than the previous campaign.

The NBA is reportedly aiming for a December start for a shortened 2020-21 season.

KCP had a 5/80M (16M/year) that he chose to decline.

In what would have been the end of his 3rd year of his contract (48M) he has made 37M from Los Angeles, won a championship, and LA has his full bird rights this off-season.

He bet on himself and won.

Without looking, which player do you think played the most minutes in the playoffs/finals next to LeBron & AD?

    Rondo/KCP/Caruso/Green

Answer is....KCP!. Lakers were a blistering +15 Net rating in the 429 minutes those three shared the floor in the playoffs. Next was Danny Green, Caruso and then Kuzma.
