    Anyone gonna watch the XFL?

I believe the inaugural season starts on Feb 8th?

For those who donít know the XFL was originally started back in 2001 by WWE chairman Vince MCMahon which only lasted for one season before folding. Now after two decades itís back. So are you planning on watching it?

I think that I'll watch it more like I watch college football. I don't think that I'll have a team that I root for and just watch because I like the game.
Prior to 11/1/19: if you were on my ignore list, I was sticking to ignoring you thanks to great advise.
From 11/1/19 on: I will no longer be responding to comments back to people on my ignore list.

Think long and hard about why you respond to nonsense. Please!

I am going to watch it. Dallas Renegades have a dope logo, I am already a decades old fan of the Cowboys, might as well cheer for a Dallas team that probably has a chance of winning a championship sometime soon.

I also like their light blue helmet, which no NFL team has.

I was going to watch the XFL until I read the horrible set of rules. Vince McMahon clearly has never watched the sport of football. Of of the several dumb rules is the :25 play clock (as apposed to :40), which has caused almost every team to play 3-WR sets all the time (because there's little time to substitute personnel), which means defenses are always in nickel. This all creates a lack of variety.

Also, putting seven out of the eight teams in NFL cities is disappointing. At least put the so-called "New York" team in Citi Field, instead of just another football team in the Newark NJ area.

I probably know 3 players in the league. So if there is nothing else on, I might check it out. But zero chance I get invested in it like the NFL/MLB/NBA.

I didn't watch a full game but what I caught I thought was pretty good. Anyone know how they did in terms of ratings (did they meet expectations?) and what the over all response was?

    snippet from the web
Week 1 for the AAF had a peak of 2.9 million views compared to the XFL's 4 million. The stands were also packed for the games this opening weekend in the XFL. All 4 games had over 17,000 in attendance.
