Harris is average at best and is trending downhill. I wouldn’t take paul if we got Mitch unless he came for free. Gary harris is not almost an allstar. Even his best year he wasn’t an allstar level player. Come on now do you even check bro? Gary harris is an average injury prone starter at best. He’s nothing special. He’s not worth 20 mill not even close.

Meh. I wouldn't touch any of the Net players. Anyone who does, a disaster is waiting to happen.
Players that teams want don’t give team options. Neither of those guys has any reason to do that, unless possibly we massively overpay. But why even do that? Both are guys we would want to have around. They do the thing everybody wants, and we need. Shoot, and shoot very well. Harris can do more than shoot, too. He’s a solid starter at a position we need. I’d give either a 3/4 year deal no problem. What, we aren’t gonna want to keep them? Why not?
And Washington doesn’t need a lot of cap. They can go over to resign. Which if I remember right, they said they plan on keeping him

1-2 year deals are placeholders, or tryouts of sorts. Bertans and Harris are the valuable role-player types you want both now, and when the team actually gets good. I’d definitely grab them now, and keep them here
Plus, I really think Harris has more to offer. He can handle a larger role. He settles the 2-3 for the forseeable future
I’m not signing bertans 4 years.

cool so you'd rather have a team full of role players lol you sign them on shorter deals if they out perform then you sign them to bigger deals this is a business you must treat it as such
Also you obviously overpay for shorter deals we got about 40 mill in cap why not lol
Hall of Famer
One or two year deals are normally for guys like Randle, Portis, Ellington, etc. Good players like Gallo, Bertans, and Harris are not going to settle for two year deals because they don't have to. There will be a market for them. The Knicks will end up with no one or journeymen vets if they take the one or two year deal approach to all of the FAs.
