    Young talent projects

Over the years the Knicks have taken fliers on past lottery picks to see if they can salvage them. We have tried Mudiay, Mario H, DSjr, and a few others. Think we will pursue that strategy this offseason ? If so who do you see the team getting along those lines.

Well...time ran out and the Knicks lost Damyeon Dotson to UFA.

At the end of the 2020-21 season, Frank Ntilikina and Dennis Smith Jr are UFAs.

At the end of the 2021-22 season, Mitchell Robinson, Ignas Brazdeikis, and Kevin Knox are UFAs.

Basically the Knicks have only 1-2 seasons to decide whether or not to pay these kids.

And if this upcoming draft is ANY indication, the Knicks will have "another project" to develop.

I didnít realize Dotson was an FA. Any chance he returns? Definitely a mistake never giving him a run at a starting spot.

Maybe he's not worthy of starter position i think the standards and expectations of Knicks fans have dropped a lot this last few years.

Josh Jackson and not a lottery pick, but Harry Giles.

Agreed that those two are probably on our radar.

I also still think some form of a DSJ for Monk swap makes sense for both parties.

The question is whether that gets expanded to include Randle and Rozier, or something like that.

The point is he deserved a month where he got starters mins. No one won that job. Now he is a free agent and we never watched him try to fill that role

As fan do we even care what Dotson can do or not do as this point he never showed anything worth of impact he won't be missed even if Knicks don't sign him back we should be more worried about star player then bench warmers.

The real question is why do we think we can turn around failed picks when we donít even develop our own?
