As for the Sevy comments, Eagle.......Iíll bet you $1,000 Sevy goes down and has surgery this year.

1/Cashman told me that Paxton first experienced pain the final week of the reg season, received treatment in Texas that he responded to and pitched especially well v. the #Astros in the playoffs. Was managing in the offseason, but problems arose anew a month ago

2/the advice was again injections and conservative treatment to see if surgery could be avoided, but pain lingered and Paxton underwent the surgery today. #Yankees

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

No, pitchers break very easily. I'm not taking that bet on any pitcher.

Why would you say such a thing or suggest that type of bet? I thought you were a Yankee fan? Should we not all be pulling for his complete recovery and return to dominance?

He'll be back in June at the latest, May at the earliest. This isn't the least bit concerning.

They were gonna let Paxton walk after this season regardless . If anything this might make it more likely Tanaka returns after this season

Good thing we signed Stocking or this would be a disaster.

i rather have a healthy paxton then tanaka.. but that seems impossible.. if they bring tanaka back it will be for a much reduced pay cut...
