    James Paxton underwent surgery

Earlier today, LHP James Paxton underwent a microscopic lumbar discectomy with removal of a peridiscal cyst. The surgery was performed by Dr. Andrew Dossett in Dallas, Texas. His approximate timeline to return to Major League action is 3-4 months.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

Just like we wouldn't see Sevy ever again. Should be spot on this time as well.

One again Paxton will not get 161 or more innings.

I knew from day 1 that trading for Paxton was a mistake . When will Cashman learn to not deal with Seattle?

Just spoke to Brian Cashman, who said part of the reason the #Yankees held onto Happ was because they were waiting to see how this back issue resolved with Paxton.
