    Restructure thread

    Restructuring Contracts:

Each team is limited to the amount of players that they can restructure. Each team may approach 3 players and ask them to restructure a contract. One restructure offer is allowed at a time.

To restructure a players contract you must post in the this thread with the previous salary, SB, and RB, and the proposed salary, SB, and RB and reasoning why the player should take a restructure or pay cut. I will respond to each reply.

Once a team reaches 3 offers to players, additional offers can be appealed for to the commissioner via PM AFTER all 3 restructures have been used. This will be done on a case by case basis. One extra restructure max.

You cannot restructure a free agents contract after you have signed them. The contract you gave them is what they get.

Players on rookie contracts cannot have their salaries restructured as per league rules.

    Dear Mr. Goff,

Long story short, your team, us, the Los Angeles Rams, has agreed to a deal that would send you to a different team, a legit Super Bowl contender. In order for that deal to go through, we come to you asking to convert your RB into SB, therefore allowing your new team to build an even better roster around you while the majority of your salary gets guaranteed to be paid by us.

Your old salary is currently structured into a $10,042,682 BS, with a $5,000,000 SB and a $21,000,000 RB. Your new deal would feature the same amount of BS with a $26,000,000 SB.

We thank you for all your hard work and are grateful for the time spent together, and wish you nothing but the best in all your future endeavors!

    Dear Ali Marpet,

We are currently in pursuit of elite QB Dak Prescott. We have revamped our offense but in order to continue to do so we would like you to take a paycut. You currently $10,625,000 BS $400,000 SB, for a total of 11,025,000. We would like you to go down to 7 million signing bonus, otherwise we might have to release you, where we would offer you a similar contract in free agency. And based on the other offers out there currently for some of the top guards in the league, we feel you would do better with 7 then testing the market.

Thank you and we hope you want to stay in Tampa and compete for titles.

    Dear Xavier Rhodes,

We traded for you because we think that you are a prime bounce back candidate and will be a good veteran leader in our secondary. However, because we signed Tom Brady to a massive deal we need a bit more money to complete our championship worthy roster. We are looking for you to restructure your contract in light of your performance for the last couple of seasons.

You currently make a base salary of $9.9M with a roster bonus for 600K, meaning your total salary is $10.5M. We are hoping that you will restructure your contact to a more reasonable $6M completely guaranteed.

    Sheldon Richardson,

We brought you over from Cleveland to be the anchor on our defensive line since you were traded you already got your 1.6 SB from them leaving us with 12M in non guaranteed money. We would like to restructure your deal so that we have some more room to add to the defense. After locking down our secondary we are in the market for Edge guys and LB. if you would be willing to turn your 12M non guaranteed to 8.5M fully guaranteed it would help us in adding to our defense

    Dear Riley Rieff,

Currently your contract structure is $10,900,000 base, $2,200,000 signing bonus and $100,000 roster bonus. Last year, you switched over to left tackle and started 15 games. We understand how difficult this transition may have been and appreciate your hard work thus far. This offseason, we've gotten some more help around you on the offensive line so you all can perform as one cohesive unit. We've added top players at both right tackle in Lael Collins and left guard Elgton Jenkins. We've also retained you good friends Pat Elfein and James Bradbury. You'll still be with your good teammates Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook. What we need is your help to finish off a potential super bowl run-type of roster. We ask if you can kindly restructure to:

0 base, 8,000,000 signing bonus, 0 roster bonus

    Thank you,

    Vikings

    Taylor Lewan,

    16.0 BS/0 SB owed)/0RB owed

You are the stalwart of our OL and we are making you an offer to turn your BS to a guaranteed signing bonus. We are asking you to consider this in order to get a few more players on the offensive side of the ball. We have made a number of moves on the defensive side and are actively in bidding for a few offensive players which if we land, should allow us to make noise.

We are offering you a 12.5 Signing bonus all guaranteed.

Not willing to drop that much, could easily get over that in FA. I can drop down to a even 9M all guaranteed.
