I cant believe this. I was just listening to All The Smoke podcast interview of him. I was driving to downtown LA today, and my phone was going crazy. I check messages and couldnít stop crying. Definitely a day i will remember.

    Rest in Peace Kobe

Guys we are so lucky to have had Kobe for 20 years. So lucky. The games, the moments, the shots that he gave us.

Love all of you! This is absolutely heartbreaking. For most of us he was reason we picked up a ball. My childhood was spent pretending to be him on my court. Feel like i lost my love for this game and feels like im sure with many of you loss a bit of ourselves.

This is he saddest Lakers news. It goes beyond the Lakers though because of how I felt watching him play. I felt his anger, pain, struggles of defeat early on in his career..then winning a title with shaq.and phil...

The struggles and bad years after shaq left...the loss to the Celtics in the Finals....

The determination to win another title and get the Celtics back in game 7....

I think we all felt the anguish in defeat and the joy of winning.

It's sad because I think this was just part of what he what he was going to do in life.
He was meant for bigger things post basketball and was excited to see what else he was capable of.

I watched so many old games of him the last few months, I'm coming to LA in 2 months, I was hopeful to see him maybe in Staples, I'm devastated.

I hope some of those piece of **** haters in the NBA forum are going to realize what Kobe meant to the NBA, the fans, the players past and present, and to society.
