    Jeter unanimous HOF selection?

Never a doubt he would be in the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

It was just a matter of how he would get into Cooperstown.

As of Monday, with 47% of the BBWAA ballots made public, Jeter was on every single one. Only one player in the history of baseball has ever been elected to the Hall of Fame with 100% of the votes: Jeter’s Yankee teammate Mariano Rivera in 2019.

A 14-time All-Star, five-time Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award winner, Jeter is the 32nd player in baseball history to cross the 3,000-hit mark. His 3,465 hits are sixth all time in baseball history and the most ever by a shortstop. Over 20 years in the big leagues, the Yankees’ last captain hit .310/.377/.440 with 260 career home runs and 1,311 RBI.

A five-time World Series champion, Jeter had almost a season’s worth of postseason experience. He hit .308/.374/.465 in 158 playoff games, hitting 20 homers and driving in 61 runs.

    Derek Jeter:
    - 3,465 career hits (6th-most in MLB history)
    - Only player with 3,000 hits as a Yankee
    - 17 straight seasons with 150 hits (tied for MLB record)
    - 13 seasons with 100 runs (T-2nd-most in MLB history)
    - 20 seasons with Yankees (most in team history)

Will Jeter be the second unanimous selection?

I thought the same about Mo, the Yankee animosity would prevail.

His track record in Florida makes me wonder if there won’t be at least one spite vote.

Someone will leave him off for sure imo. I'm still surprised Mo was unanimous, but he was the best to ever do what he did.

I don't think he should be unanimous. First ballot, yes. Unanimous? No.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

He should be. Especially with this class. Not one person worth leaving jeter off for, let alone 9. Absolutely no reason he shouldn't be unanimous.

Barry Bonds is worth leaving Jeter off, if you could only vote for one player.

Bonds and Clemens get shafted once again. The voting process is terrible. Bunch of old guys who hold grudges.

i think bonds deserves it more then clemens.. barry was already a hall of fame player before he used roids.. clemens last 4 years with the sox were terrible 40-39.. then all of a sudden when the roids kicked in he won 2 cy cyoung awards in a row with the bluejays..barry had a down year for his standards.before he started using roids but was great for a long time..before that...
