    January 2020 Game Thread

    Lol.

Not that far out of a playoff spot I guess. 7-3 in the last 10.

Nice little 4 game winning streak currently.

Try to make it 5 tonight vs WPG. Also, Kane going for 1000 points (at 999 after last nights game)

5 wins in a row, and Kane picks up his 1000th NHL point.

Classy move by the boys to celebrate with him on the ice after he got the point, and also a class move by Jets C Blake Wheeler for giving him a handshake for the achievement after the game as well

Exciting to see them getting in the race.

Maybe a playoff appearance is possible? Hard to get excited during a big run though. Need to sustain something.

I agree. If they can keep the momentum going, they might have a shot at a playoff spot.

Now the next game is the return of Q and the Panthers. Let’s see how that one goes

Seems like just yesterday that Kane scored the shootout goal against Hasek. Time flies!

Florida has been named as the host city for next season's All-Star Weekend. They last hosted the game in 2003. I was really hoping that they'd name Edmonton as the host city. I want to make a trip up there and that would be an awesome time to do it. Chicago last hosted in 1991. Since that time, the United Center was built (1994), and San Jose, Florida, Tampa Bay, Montreal, and Los Angeles have all hosted the game multiple times.

Seattle was promised All-Star Weekend within 7 years of their inaugural season. I'm sure the same was told to Vegas. Calgary is working on a new arena and I would love to see the game at the Saddledome before they move on from it. I'm also surprised that the game hasn't returned to Madison Square Garden (1994).
