CBS Sports has a live mock draft going right now. Brady Quinn was our GM.

Pick 22 - J. Okwara DE Notre Dame
Pick 25 - Denzel Mims WR Baylor

All top CB's off the board, top OT's off the board.

I don't know much about Okwara but he is coming off a broken fibula but it sounds like he has some really good tape before that. There are still a lot of DE's rated higher than him on TDN.

Mims pick I don'y mind but when I hear the word raw it just scares me.

I just watched Okwara against Georgia and Virginia. Georgia has 2 top OT's in this draft and he didn't do much against either. He destroyed Virginia, though. 3 sacks and a bunch of pressures.

I've seen that too which he could possibly but not sure that even there he is quick twitchy wise. When I watched him at IA I couldn't help but think of Calais Campbell. He's a little bit quicker than Calais imo. He's not a guy that is gonna get ya 14+ sacks and be flashy about it but he will beat you with brute force and power. He will also be a big factor in the run game. I would not mind the pick at 22 or 25 because you could move him inside, like we started to do with Griffen, on passing downs.

I've been seeing a few draft people say Justin Jefferson is a perfect fit for the Vikings so I went and found out why. I like what I saw. He mostly played in the slot for LSU last year and the words that kept my mind were silky smooth. Reminds me of Emmanuel Sanders. Fast, quick, and a really crisp route runner. He absolutely torched Oklahoma in the first half of the final 4. Playing in a pro system offense should also help him transition to the pros. I was a little worried he shouldn't be a 1st rounder because he really only played in the slot but I went back to 2018 against Florida and he was playing mostly on the outside. He made plays there too. He might not be a super sexy pick but I think he fits what we're looking for at receiver. He should be able to have an impact from day 1.

I would love to see Jefferson in Purple. I honestly like him more than Jeud. Like you said he has that smoothness where he looks like he is going slow (Dalvin Cook is a great example of looking slow at 100MPH). I know we don't have the best track record on early WRs but I would have no issues with them taking him to replace Diggs.

Draft Jefferson and we have a pretty decent starting 3 with Theilen, Johnson, Jefferson. Sign a FA burner and draft a late round speedster to double as a PR.

I have no idea what the price tag is but I would like to get Anderson or Perriman on a 1 year deal. With a strong receiver class we might be able to get one on an affordable deal. Both are good deep threats.

    Adam Thielen
    Robby Anderson
    Justin Jefferson
    Bisi Johnson

Antonio Gibson round 3. 4.39 40, returns kicks, and could pair up with Mattison to replace Dalvin if he doesn't get re-signed. He's also played a bunch of WR, so we could move him all over the place.

I'm still a little hesitant to take WR in the 1st given so much depth. But I also trust that we'll stick to our draft board. I mean we pretty much have a need everywhere outside of QB, RB and TE and probably LB lol.

Personally I want to target OL & DL first. I really like what I keep reading on Cesar Ruiz. Seems like he is the big nasty we need at guard. Anyone have any in depth on him or Josh Jones. Those two seem likely they could be there with either of our first two.

I think Tyler Johnson is rated about where he should be. Likely go anywhere between 3rd and 5th rounds. I would be ok with taking him.

My Dream Mock Draft!! Get it done Spielman. Last year on the contract, a draft like this is the only way to get that extension. So much talent this year, I hope Spielman pulls it off.
