Yup it'll have to be a collective effort. Plus, maybe Bisi or Sharpe turn into a decent #3 receiver. We didn't have that last year. Maybe Quartney Davis surprises us and makes the roster.

Our Day 3 was, I would say, highly successful. We got some guys that look like promising pieces. Lynch and Dye look like they can be big contributors. Plus Hand and Wonnum look like they have potential. Hand needs more reps and Wonnum needs to get stronger.

Heís got some nice moments on film but he also went undrafted for a reason. I like him but heís probably still a long shot to make the roster.

The fight to make this team as a WR is pretty stiff........we know Thielen makes it, we assume Jefferson...obviously strong chance Bisi does...we'd think KJ Osborne does........how many would we keep?

Even assuming there's no other changes (FA signing post June, etc) we still have:
    Alexander Hollins
    Bralon Addison
    Chad Beebe
    Dan Chisena
    Davion Davis
    Dillon Mitchell
    Quartney Davis
    Tajať Sharpe
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

Iím actually really interested in the d-line.

Maybe Iíll try and do a 53 man roster projection.

    That's my guess, I'd want:
    Thielen
    Jefferson
    Johnson
    Sharpe
    Hollins
    Mitchell/Davis coin flip

Agreed. I think this is the best case scenario at receiver.

Same here. A lot of talent but also uncertainty. Really only Hunter is a sure thing. Can Odenigbo play full time? Will Pierce bounce back to elite run stuffing status? How good can Armon Watts be? Will any of the young guys force Stephen to the bench where he belongs? Lots of options at DT. There's still time for Jaleel Johnson or Jalyn Holmes to develop into something. James Lynch is my wild card to produce early. Mata'afa is another wild card too. I'm eager to see if he can become anything now that he's further away from his ACL injury. Back up DE is a big question mark too. We claimed Eddie Yarbrough off waivers from the Bills at the end of the season so I'll be eager to see if he can play the Weatherly role as a rotational end. I'm not expecting much from Zettel. Bringing back Griffen for one more season would be a big help IMO.

you're not expecting Osborn to make it, if not primarily as a PR/ST?

Obviously I want Ev back, but the room already seems too full. I said I wanted to do a 53 man roster mock, but I donít even know where to start on it.

I think he could but I don't see him adding much at receiver. I think from a talent perspective, it'll be better if Davis beats him out. Abdullah can return kicks. Worst case scenario Mike Hughes has experience returning punts.

I completely agree. I feel like Quartney Davis is a the better talent at WR. Osborn's only gift is speed and he doesn't seem to have the strength to go along with that to break tackles in the NFL. Osborn was pretty average in college so I don't expect him to do much in the pros. I was at a loss on why we drafted him to be honest. I feel like he would have gone undrafted if we didn't take him.

So it wasn't just me then, wondering about Osborn at the time....and hoping they'd seen something
I mean he was the 25th WR taken, so only so much to expect, but still, there were guys that seemed to have stronger value (I wanted Watkins, but what do I know)

Here's guys drafted after KJ...of course not including guys like Quartney who were UDFA
    Donovan Peoples-Jones*
    Quez Watkins*
    James Proche*
    Isaiah Hodgins*
    Dezmon Patmon*
    Freddie Swain*
    Jauan Jennings*
    K. J. Hill*
    Tyrie Cleveland*

So, if you guys are right, we have to look at it as if Davis was our 5th rd pick and Osborn a UDFA signing
    gotta love 'referential' treatment
