It looked like they had just updated the draft board, but apparently not

Paid the $30 to get the premium on the Draft Network. We'll see if it's worth it but I did the same for PFF one year and that was good enough. Traded back a few spots and picked up an extra 5th. Was targeting Josh Jones with #25 and got him at #33. From what I've read Jones fits the zone scheme very well so it's possible he could start day 1. Leki in the 3rd to take over for Linval eventually and drafted Coe to primarily use as a 3T. Geno Stone in the 6th seems like good value.

    33 Josh Jones OT, Houston
    58 A.J. Terrell CB, Clemson
    89 Leki Fotu IDL, Utah
    122 Collin Johnson WR, Texas
    129 Nick Coe EDGE, Auburn
    185 Geno Stone S, Iowa
    196 Kendall Coleman EDGE, Syracuse
    216 Kalija Lipscomb WR, Vanderbilt

I watched a little film of CJ Henderson, CB from Florida. Im convinced no way the Vikings draft him. Hes long and sticky in coverage but his tackling ability is laughable. I doubt even Zimmer would be able to get this kid to tackle.

How 'bout Cole McDonald in the 4th?
....or would it have to be the 3rd
    gotta love 'referential' treatment

Serious question...do you take J.K. Dobbins if he is there in the 4th round? I had to take him in my last mock, too good of value to pass up on and it would give us an elite RB prospect for when we move on from Cook.

In this mock you can see I did some traded back. Mainly trying to go off of value based on need as well. The one thing with trades in this is you can't get a haul like I would expect one to get in real life. Like for instance I traded out of the 25 spot with Indy for a second and 4th. I wanted both of their second round picks which I think would be reasonable since they drafted Love. I then traded back again with the Raiders and got both of their 3rd round picks.

    58 A.J. Terrell CB Clemson
    75 Jalen Hurts QB Oklahoma
    80 Rashard Lawrence IDL LSU
    81 Denzel Mims WR Baylor
    89 Brandon Jones S Texas
    122 Solomon Kindley IOL Georgia

If Dobbins makes it to the 4th round something seriously bad has happened to him. Hes at worst a top 3 back in this draft and many have him number 1. Hes a stud.

This is the most interesting draft I've had yet. I assumed we signed a guard in FA so I didn't worry much about OL:

    25 Neville Gallimore IDL Oklahoma
    58 Trevon Diggs CB Alabama
    89 Jalen Hurts QB Oklahoma
    122 Alton Robinson EDGE Syracuse
    185 Quintez Cephus WR Wisconsin
196 Levonta Taylor CB Florida State
216 T.J. Brunson LB South Carolina

Love it! I want to see a little more on Hurts. I'm liking the idea of taking him later and then allowing him to just sit and develop. First two would be homeruns.

I would love that but I just don't see how the team can make it work. It's possible but that also means Anthony Harris is gone and personally I'd rather keep Harris. I did read a few red flags with Scherff. He's finished the last 2 seasons on IR, missing 13 of 32 games. Also read on some analysis on TDN that "teams that implement a lot of zone concepts would be doing his power and pulling capabilities a disservice." So he might not be a great fit in our scheme. I think I would rather have Joe Thuney, although I highly doubt we could afford him either.

Hurts in the 3rd round would be tough to pass on. He needs a lot of work but he flashes some serious potential. His skill set is perfect for this newer era of QBs. Sitting a year and learning would be ideal. I'm really curious if Hurts would even be the type of QB Kubiak and Zimmer would be interested in.

Regardless of that, I don't think we'll be able to afford him no matter what other moves we make. We'll have limited cash and once a bidding war begins he'll be too expensive. A player like Glasnow or McGovern probably make more sense money wise.

I know Hurts has a long ways to go before he can become a starting caliber QB but man when he makes plays like this it's hard not to be excited about his potential.
