Not really surprised by any of the moves. Linval I thought could restructure but I also thought it was a high chance of just a cut. I mean this is why we develop guys and perhaps Watts is ready to roll.

Morgan is just a cut by numbers. We have 3 guys that are better than him though he was a solid contributor.

I think we would have all been shocked had Rhodes stayed with us but I thought there would be a shot to keep him since all the other guys are leaving. Makes me think we have a deal in place for at least Waynes or Alexander but who knows.

What we do know is that we can be a player in FA and grab either one top OL or go after a few second tier guys...which is what I would expect to do.

im not expecting this to happen but it might have some legs on it a three way trade between the vikings, niners and patriots. vikings get brady with a team friendly deal, niners get cousins and the pats get back garrafollo. the niners want cousins and will give him an extesion he wants vikings get brady and brady gets two great te's in rudolph and smith jr. vikings get a bit more cap room. i really dont want brady i think his time is up but its worth watching for.

i realize that but the pats could sign him then trade him. if he leaves ne as a fa they somehow have a 15 mill cap hit.

Going to miss Linval. Seems like that last injury did him in. Seemed like a great guy on and off the field. Hope he has a few more successful years in the league.

I know Rhodes fell off, but when he was in his prime, he was locking down guys like Julio, AB, and OBJ. The game he got OBJ to snap was amazing.

    My Off-season Plan

    Release:
    Riley Reiff saves 8.8 mil
    Pat Elflein save 2.1 mil

    Trade:
TE Kyle Rudolph – saves 3.6 mil for a 4th round pick - Just too slow for today's NFL

    Restructure:
Harrison Smith – save around 3 mil (+/- extension)
Eric Kendrick – save around 3 mil

Will have about $39.7 million to spend

    Tender:
LB Eric Wilson 1 yr/2.144 mil
FB CJ Ham 1 yr/2.144 mil

    Resign:
DE Everson Griffen 1 yr/7 mil

    P Britton Colquitt 1 yr/1.5 mil
    C Brett Jones 1 yr/800k
    LB Kentrell Brothers 1 yr/800k

    Free agents:
CB Trumaine Johnson (after he’s cut) – 1 yr/7 mil - Let's see how good of a DB coach Zimmer really is

WR Jarius Wright (cut by Carolina) 1yr/2.5mil
RT Ryan Schraeder (sat out last year)
    S Will Hill (XFL)

    dan bailey
    k, minnesota vikings

the star tribune's ben goessling reports the vikings are in talks to extend dan bailey.

Bailey signed with the vikings in 2018. In 2019, he connected on 27 of his 29 field goal attempts and 40 of his 44 extra point tries. Bailey was accurate on 93 percent of his field goals, good for top-five in the nfl.
