The Houston Rockets have been in win-now mode for the past several seasons as they try to maximize the title window with James Harden.

Sources tell Shams Charania of The Athletic that the Rockets are continuing to make future draft picks available in trade talks.

The Rockets have prioritized a wing player on the trade market.

For now, the Rockets will leave a roster spot open.

DSJ and a 2nd rd pick for Monk would be decent IMO. Send DSJ home to Charlotte and maybe his career will bounce but who cares if he's not with us any longer.

Flip these vets at all cost as in Taj, Morris, and Ellington. Julius Randle can go in the right trade unless he's moved to the bench where he can just provide instant offense. Reggie Bullock is a keeper he and Dotson are our best shooters. He's on a great contract so for that alone you have to keep him.

DSJ needs to change his people around him. His management team. He appears to want to be given a job and does not want to compete and his team must be co-signing that ********. He definitely has no Kobe in him.

Damn. The Toronto Raptors have $60M in expiring contracts. WOW.

Raptors made the playoffs 5 consecutive times before Winning an NBA title. 11 playoff appearances over 25 seasons. 1 NBA championship in 25 seasons. Better ratio than the Knicks. They miss the playoffs for 4-5 seasons then go on a NBA playoff run.

Over last 20 seasons they've basically gone 10-10

Now, one wonders....do the Raptors take a shot at Drummond or someone lizardy.

The Knicks are interested in Andre Drummond, but "haven't made an offer in the ballpark of what Detroit would like," @wojespn said tonight.

"They'd love a first round pick for him," he said. "But there is not a real market out there right now for Drummond."

This makes no sense unless Mitch is on the trade block.

I don't want Dre, but it even makes less sense if Mitch is here.

All signs point to the Knicks being interested in a salary dump. Most likely for a combination of Randle/Smith/Frank.

I was thinking this as well. Then they could just let Dre go?

But the problem is Detroit is delusional and is asking for a first round pick for Dre.

Dre has a $29m option next year, which I think he's going to opt into as clearly the league doesn't value him THAT much.

Doubt they trade for Drummond to let him walk. All the players you named become expiring contracts next season. They also don’t need money for this offseason since they can simply decline everyone else’s option.

Teams in touch w/Knicks recently came away with the impression that NYK & Marcus Morris have strong mutual interest in reaching free agent agreement this summer, which factors into Morris’ trade value. LAC among teams to register recent interest in Morris:

On the one hand, trading Morris, what is the best you can get? A very late #1 from the Clips (or whomever) plus what? Or resign a guy who could be a decent player for you for 3 years or so. Obviously he's not a centerpiece building block, but he is pretty much our best player for now. I dunno.

Not good news for those of us who was expecting value back in a trade.

well typical Knicks, it's between the team and the player to let the league know there is mutual interest is just dumb.

They need Cashman lessons for sure.......actually they just need to go
