I'm pretty shocked. I didn't expect Kwiatkowski would have as much of a market as it seems he will. Hopefully we didn't overpay, I'm not a huge fan of paying linebackers and Trevathan is good but not irreplaceable.

I said it in the other thread, but yeah, Kwit's market must really have gotten out of hand. Hopefully we don't overpay here. Trev is good, but with our cap the way it is, ILB isn't the biggest priority to me.

I canít imagine itís too bad, guessing 3 for 18, not a lot of guaranteed, but weíll see. In my eyes, Trevathan and Kwit isnt even a debate, but some team will overpay for Kwit with a 4 year deal.

Danny was a leader on this team, and itís nice seeing him retained, we have the space, just need to use it wisely and not waste $30M on average QBs...

Loved Kwit, big thumper. Trevathan is a stud though. Him and Roquan with Mack and Hick is a very stout defense up front.

What are the chances this turns into a comp pick when Kwit signs elsewhere?

If Trevathan is healthy he's an elite inside linebacker , no?

I'm ok with this. Just use your draft picks wisely, Pace.

It all depends on who else we sign, but yeah, Kwit will count towards the calculation for comp picks

He's coming off a contract where he made 7 AAV. I don't imagine he's taking a paycut. It's part of why the contract makes me a bit nervous.

depends. its one reason trading for Andy Dalton makes sense as opposed to signing a guy in FA. Trades dont factor into the calculation. its one reasin the Pats have been so good at getting them. they trade for some good players late on their deals. let them walk and get picks for them.

But also coming off a few years of injuries. Letís see how the contract looks, but last year he was making close to 7.5M. His salary for the first two years of the deal might be lower than that and the 3rd year higher, but not guaranteed so the bears can cut him if injuries keep happening.
