****! Wow!
I'm guessing Godwin/Evans made that a pretty distant runner up though.

And the fact that the Bucs were probably willing to bend over backwards and get Gronk too.
CRAZY if it was to happen but also a real clue that despite any conspiracy some may want to project on Mitch..... Pace was willing to move on.
Gronk was elite whenever he played(however rarely lol!) but I basically agree. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly Jimmy has at least been available the past few years which is damn important.
I have no problem with giving up a 4th for Jimmy especially when having a capable offense likely means the Bears are super bowl contenders.
Now if the Bears stood up to Brady and refused to acquire Gronk (doubtful) then id be pissed lol.
Ultimately it was probably an easy choice for TB12 with those WRs in Tampa

I agree..... But I just think its funny how some like to question one move as a questionable one for the bears for a QB who we know can play. I swear some in the media too act like a 4th is some sort or means to have to play him. But I think most of those dont realize just how much of the Contract the Jags ATE.

I guess he would have been backing up Trubisky as well

Whatever.
Screw sabermetics.
That's the Jags fault for paying him in the first place. They were so desperate to get rid of him they ate all that money just to get a 4th. Which, btw, is an overpay for a guy you still have to pay top dollar as a backup for 2-3 years and can't beat out Trubisky.
We do know Foles can play. 1.5/8 years he is good. He's been good less than 20% of his career. Hopefully it Mitch sucks, he can find magic again. But, odds are we overpayed significantly both in the trade and in salary for a good backup.
Would rather not know these things
