Just think if the Chargers would have drafted Peyton Manning instead of Ryan Leaf!! What if the Bears drafted Donavan Mcnabb instead of Rex Grossman?!! What if one of the these 6 quarterback needy teams who also passed on him would have drafted Patrick Mahomes or Watson or Trubisky?
    Cleveland Browns
    Jacksonville Jaguars
    Tennessee Titans
    New York Jets
    Cincinnati Bengals

What if the Portland Trailblazers would have drafted Michael Jordan instead of the Chicago Bulls getting him?!!

What ifs are a waste of energy. Nevermind.
I don't disagree but I do think you keep drafting quarterbacks until you find one that is great. Keep swinging until you connect.

Itís clear now. Thatís the whole point. Mahomes was not a sure thing heading into the draft.

I mean, Jímarcus Russell had a hell of an arm.

Oh I get that, I didn't mean to imply he was a no brainer

I still question what Mahomes becomes if we drafted him. say what u want about He would be better than Mitch..... but imagine being forced in year after learning the ropes from Glennon instead of Smith. one which he is supposed to be working on his footwork and getting the hang of the nfl..... Learning from Fox's staff on how to be a QB....Throwing to Kendall Wright. And then completly having to relearn the QB position for Matt nagy and Co

Do u really think Mahomes looks like mahomes in year 2 ..... Probably not.

I think there's a very high chance Mahomes would be Mahomes regardless of where he was drafted, yes. Whether or not our offense would be as good as the Chiefs is another story cause Reid and the talent around him there certainly play a part in it all, but most of what Mahomes does that makes him great is stuff that isn't coached into a player.

Sad. He was in the league for a while. Went to my school, briefly, too.

A lot can happen to a player mentally, especially at the QB position. When Mahomes came in to actually play, he was hungry, ready, confident. Doubt he'd feel that way with the Bears, Fox and co. Then getting creamed, having a losing, not getting proper coaching etc. we have no way of knowing, but I will say, that coaching and personnel mean a lot. Player is a stud, goes to another team and sucks. goes on to another team and is a stud again. ie. kurt warner was a stud in STL, then injuries, then wasn't good in NY or AZ until Wisenhunt gave him starting job and he lead them to the super bowl. just crazy how it can work out.

We all do as Diggs was solid, but that's a much better version.

They tried to trade him last year too, apparently wanted a 1st, and Arians doesn't use TE's much.
