So TJ watt is a 1st team edge rusher and 2nd team linebacker. Why? Nothing against TJ watt, but they can’t give that 2nd spot to someone else?

I do agree. Marcus Peters made it as 1st team DB and 2nd team CB.

These are absolutely great players but they should only be voted in once so that other players can get the recognition that they deserve too. I think this has happened like 3 or 4 times since Khalil Mack did it 4 or 5 years ago.

CMC getting 1st team RB and 1st team flex and Derrick Henry getting 2nd team RB and 2nd team flex is also weird af.. What is the point of having a flex position if you are just gonna put the RB out there twice?

The 1st team flex should just be the top WR, RB, or TE vote getter outside of the other guys that made 1st team. Same for the 2nd team.

Two guys got snubbed just because the voters wanted to clone the RBs

It happened when people who voted basically *****ed to the AP about being locked into 4 DL, 3 LB, 2 DB, 2 S on defense and 1 QB, 1 FB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 OT, 2 OG, 1 OC. The number of teams that regularly go 3 wide, or play 3-4 or go into the nickel more often...voters wanted the flexibility to vote how they wanted. So EDGE, Flex, and DB slots were created. So some guys use the edge spots to do 1 3-4 and 1 4-3 rusher to open up a vote for someone else, some guys refuse to vote them out of position. It's why (as I explained earlier) McCaffery can be 1st team at RB and FLEX and Henry can be 2nd team RB and FLEX.

If they eliminated that stuff it would have put Henry in 1st team FLEX, Nick Chubb 2nd team RB, Aaron Jones 2nd team FLEX. LeVonte David 2nd team LB, Marshone Lattimore 2nd team CB, Harrison Smith 2nd team S.

That's a possible 6 guys screwed out of possible incentives.

Brandon brooks as the flex woulda made more sense than CMC as the RB and the flex.

They should put brooks in as the flex then in parenthesis next to it (reporting as an eligible receiver)

Agreed. Yeah, they need to rework it. The goal should be to recognize the best players in the NFL at each position, not recognizing the best players twice

    That's Zach "Hulk" Banner's position.

Patterson got it again for KR, that's neat.

Gilmore, Slater and Thuney got the nod. All deserving. Slater has had himself quite the career:

Team Captain most if not his entire career
    3 Rings
    8 Pro Bowls
    5 first-team All-Pro selections
    1 2nd-team All-Pro selection
    Not bad for a STer.

Happy for Thuney getting recognition. He's got rings, an award and this offseason he will be getting paid. Whoever signs him won't regret it. Can play all 5 spots on the line, good teammate, very durable.

Poor Pete Prisco is getting crushed on twitter for wanting All-Pro voting to stay private:

I believe Tress Way is Dan Snyder's second All-Pro ever (Trent Williams was the first) and neither have made first team. At the very least, that is the number of All-Pros under the Snyder/Allen regime. Maybe Gibbs had a couple, can't remember.

Was hopeful Zadarius Smith would have a chance at grabbing a second team spot.
He was a massive difference maker for the Packers D this season. They were up and down as a whole but he was consistently very good all season.
