so there is now a rumor that we are looking to trade up with WSH prior to the draft. This has to be predicated on Tua's health being check being great. If this is the case, bye bye the extra two 1sts and possibly a 2021 1st. That would hurt hard.

That's already been shot down. The same guy who tweeted that said OBJ is going to Philly, the Bears are shopping Mack, and Tom Brady is going to Dallas.

As for drafting a rb, i could def see us drafting one, cant hurt to start developing one now. Most college rbs have a long learning curve for nfl blocking assignments.

Kenyan Drake being a great example of that.

Also im not really buying the whole were not contending until after this coming season. We may not spend recklessly, but were still going to try to win.

And no way in hell is flores going to allow this team to be the worst rushing team in the nfl.
Don't confuse not contending with not trying. I'm just saying it looked from the start like a 3 year plan and if that is the case, you don't need to do anything at RB this year that risks your overall philosophy of building (inside out for example). I think they have some positions pegged to craft this year and probably some others to fill with bodies for another year. RB could be the latter, unless a great value falls to them.

I get what your saying and mostly agree with you.

But the nfl is a funny unpredictable league. You think a team is a rebuilding, and a year away, and than suddenly, the team can be ahead of schedule, playing well, injury bug doesnt hit too hard, and suddenly, your in a playoff chase.

We see it all the time. Good coaches, smart coaches, in the nfl, dont really take seasons for granted the way fans do.

Very true / possible. Even knowing that I still value a good line more than a running back. With the right guys up front we can make a lot of backs look very good and it helps the QB as well (just like a great back). We've seen some teams ride a great back lately so who knows what the Dolphins are thinking? At least we have options and wiggle room with draft capital and cap room for a change.

The Dolphins are losing WR coach and recently promoted to Asisstant HC, Karl Dorrell. Hes taking the HC job at Colorado.

Flores has basically lost half of his staff in just one year, and basically lost his entire offensive staff outside of the RB coach and TE coach.

Dorrell is as big a loss as we've had. Hes an incredibly well respected coach and did a phenomenal job last year. Hate to see him go after we saw the promise of DVP and Williams.

If I'm the Dolphins I either go after Tom Brady, Philip Rivers or Matthew Stafford as a QB. Definitely would get rid of Fitzpatrick.

If Flores wants to keep pulling college guys up then I pray he makes a call to Hartline. Bring him back to Miami after hes spent the past few years developing some of the best WR prospects in college.

But I'd expect it to be someone with Gailey ties. He's pretty much letting him run the offense by himself at this point.

It seems like the Bengals are going to move on from LT Cordy Glenn. I'd keep my eye on guys close to his level for the Oline. I think the team will follow an approach similar to the Bill's last year to rebuild the Oline and will avoid the big name players like Thuney and Conklin.

Thuney is supposed to have about 20 teams with interest. Conklin less so more do tot he fact he has some issues in pass blocking.

I love Thuney, but I also don't want MIA to reset the OG market. But I think either Thuney or Peat would be a smart signing in FA. And I am biased toward Conklin as I am a Sparty fan, but if you can get Conklin for around JJ James cash from last year, I think you have to consider it as he is not injury prone and could continue to grow into the OT role. I also like Daryl Williams from CAR as a potential FA signing.

But a big part of me thinks that the coaching staff likes Jesse Davis enough to keep him at RT, and I think they will try to beef up their IOL through FA and draft, as well as draft a LT. I think Deiter needs more time to try and develop, but I don't think he should be starting in 2020. I think he's best suited to be the swing OG in 2020 and fill in for injuries if needed. Kilgore has been steady and I don't trust a rookie OC running the OL this year. I'd love to draft an OC and let him learn behind Kilgore if possible.

If Miami is dead set on drafting Tua then I want no parts of Conklin and his poor pass protection. He would be blocking Tua's blindside so, that is a huge no for me based on his pass blocking.

Peat I am 100% on board with.
