Bills. I want no part of Pitt in the playoffs. Total snoozefest who will have zero chance of being competitive against KC or NE.

Tremaine, Trey, and Terrell Edmunds will all be active for this game. First time a set of three brothers has played in the same NFL game since 1927.

Interesting tidbit came out on Pittsburgh radio:

In 2007, when Cowher stepped down, Danny Green was fired, and Nick Saban left. The Steelers were torn between Ken Whisenhunt, Russ Grimm, and Mike Tomlin. Tomlin was in high consideration with the Dolphins too. After his initial meeting with the Steelers, Tomlin talked with the Dolphins. This was about the same time that Whisenhunt and Grimm interviewed with the Steelers. Rumors started the circle that the Dolphins wanted to get Tomlin in for a second interview, this time with ownership. This is when the Steelers brought back Tomlin for a second interview, and they offered him a contract. Tomlin wanted to do what was right, and had his agent call Miami to see if they would counter the Steelers offer. The Dolphins decided to pass. The reasoning? He was "too hip-hop to be a good coach". That's when the Cardinals, thinking they were out on Whisenhunt and Grimm (believed to be a package deal), jumped on them so fast that Miami didn't even get the chance to interview either of them (it was believed at the time that if Grimm was HC that Whis would be his OC, and if Whis was HC Grimm would be OC). Cam Cameron was eventually hired by the Dolphins.

Since that time Miami has had 7 HC's, 2 winning records and 0-2 in the post season.

Not sure what probably fake racism claims on the Dolphins leadership over a decade ago has to do with the Bills/Steelers matchup. And unless the Steelers and Dolphins were going to swap players, Tomlin wouldn't have won many games in Miami.

I don't like the Steelers getting back Conner and Juju for this game. The Bills D should feast on Duck. The Bills O should score enough to win.

But, the Bills have a history of playing down to their competition. Time to see if the post-Browns-loss Bills have fixed that.

Bills defense should keep the Steelers in check, but I could see the Steelers defense taking advantage of the Bills offense.

Josh had one throw versus the Ravens into double coverage but he got hit while throwing so it was far enough off that it wasn't picked. He's still got the Farve thing going on from time to time, but has done a good job of it other than 2 games this year where he turned the ball over 4+ times.

The whole Fitzpatrick playing true free safety thing will be interesting. He'll have to respect John Brown on most plays, probably, so Josh doesn't rip the top off the defense. Might open up the middle for Beasley a bit.

Biggest thing is the Bills TEs, WRs and even RBs need to bounce back from all the times they got hit in the hands/numbers versus the Ravens and didn't complete the catch.

This game might perhaps show how overrated Pittsburgh actually is. A lot of people are cheering about how good they did and how good coach Tomlin is, but they must have forgotten to check who Pittsburgh played this season. Their wins came against the Bengals 2x, Browns, Dolphins, Rams, Chargers, Cardinals and the Colts (lucky win). All of those teams except for the Rams are hot garbage, and the Rams were wonky as hell at the time they played.

Of course the Bills might not be as good as their record indicates either as they only beat ****** teams as well, so is it fair to say this game is like a mini Super Bowl of soft-schedule-beneficiary AFC teams not named New England Patriots?

Big game for the Steelers to see where they are at. They beat up cinci, Ari and a Browns defense that had 8 starters out. How will Ducky do against a very talented defense? Can the Bills score on the steelers excellent defense? lots of questions.

I don't think those teams are "hot garbage". Even cinci have been very completive all season. But playing top teams will of course show more.
