Does Melo have anything left in the tank? That shall be answered in the coming weeks and months.

We should go after Lillard. Trade everyone except RJ and Mitch.

actually a year off he moved much better than I thought he would, and started out pretty well, even made defensive plays, and played what 21 min?

NO Lillard that was not going to be a pretty game, but Portland is definitely a mess right now.

Why would Portland trade Lillard for our roster? Minus RJ and Mitch also?

l loved getting him like the majority of Knick fans, but your right that force by Melo at the trade deadline was dumb when he was a UFA in less than three months.....even if we didn't keep guys like Gallo, chandler, etc they were assets for future trades.

But the flip side was that trade would have looked totally different if Billups didn't get hurt, Billups was a major part of Melo's success in Denver like Kidd was when he played one season here.

Always said we made a deal with the devil on the day we traded for Melo. we wanted that star so bad but a star means nothing if you have to give away every asset you have. I'll never forget Melo dropping 42 on BOS in the playoffs, playing with guys like Billy Walker... he had his moments here but overall it was a disappointment.

was good to see him back in the NBA yesterday, he still looks like he can score, but the lack of lift means he has to score almost exclusively on jumpers, mostly mid range, and it's hard for anyone to be efficient that way.

On defense he is just extremely slow footed and it's almost sad to watch. He just has no lateral quickness to stay with the younger guys.

Yeah the Knicks would have made a major run if Billups and Amare were healthy that year.

But Melo's best year by far was at PF... Amare should have been a backup 4/5 when he got back and allowed Melo to stay at the 4. but Dolan wanted to justify the signing... FIT matters...
