LOL Good one. I think we'll all be singing that after the vote goes through.

Part of me is a bit sickened that these two criminals are getting away with a fat payday, but it's preferable to them continuing to ruin my favorite team. And Cohen isn't exactly clean from the sound of it, so maybe we're just swapping scumbags. So here's to our new scumbag at least being a smart one, unlike the slapstick stupidity of Fred and Jeff.
Precisely my sentiments. I'm sure that once enough time passes we'll hate this scumbag as much as the last 2. But for now, let's enjoy the ousting of the Wilpons as they cry all the way to the bank.

    We've earned it.

He never built anything or managed anything. All he ever did was figure out how to move money from other people's pockets into his. And in doing that he was able to buy the Mets and instantly become the wealthiest owner in baseball.

    What a country.

He used to run SAC Capital.

Any word on SNY? (I know not included in the deal) Iím concerned Cohen ultimately gets tired of losing money every year
Reports are Cohen is buying 90-95% so maybe there is another small minority owner. Not that it matters much. Cohen will be the decision maker. Its just breadcrumbs to the Wilpons.

SNY is not part of the deal. I am surprised to hear that too but I guess Cohen believes he can make this franchise profitable without the network and I am sure he can. The Wilpons couldn't do it because they just carried way too much debt. That said there's no reason to believe that Cohen is buying this to take a loss on it perennially.

That probably had more to do with the Wilpon's business practices.

Itís crazy to think how different the Mets will potentially will look next years. The Coupons are finally gone thank the Lord. Brodie is gone. However like Iíve said all along if Brodie wants to stay on as some sort of consultant or something like that for the draft Iím all for that. Thatís the only thing he is actually good at as a FO guy

    Ideal off-season

    FO & coaches
    - fire BVW and hire David Stearns
    - fire Rojas and hire Bruce Bochy or Buck Showwalter

    FA
    - sign Realmuto, Bauer, Springer & Stroman
    - sign two of Hendriks, Treinen, Colome and Greene

    Trades
    - eat half of Cano's and Familia's salaries and trade them for anything
    - trade Rosario and Davis in a package to upgrade at 3B

I want nothing to do with Showalter or Bochy.
And No Thank you to Stroman.

I would look at Jason Mcleod as GM.

I think heís also good on the sort of ĎPRí sort of aspect too.

Courting players, not manipulating service time, implementing a positive culture, letting the young guys play, etc. His best work has come from outside of trades and free agency lol.
