Is this the most exciting TDL in raptors history?
We’re all raptors lifers so selling high on some of these guys will make for some exciting years ahead. Having confidence in management/development/scouting/coaching is new for us in a rebuild.
I’m pumped. I hope they sell hard and get lots of 1sts.

This is the most exciting trade deadline in my fandom, (more years than I care to admit). 2019 was the most unexpected move, as I did not know they were in on Gasol. This year I fully expect one move that can be considered major. If it lands with a thud, I will be pretty disappointed.

I'm in the retool camp. They have good players. Need to improve fit.

“It’s about winning,” Stoudemire said. “You win, you’re going to get on national TV. Simple. In Phoenix, we won — Western Conference finals three, four years, playoffs every year. We won. If you don’t win, nobody really wants to see you.”

What do you think of my OG for DMurray, Gary for poertle idea for a retool?
    Murray/Fred/Barnes/siakam/poertle.

Assuming we don’t have to sacrifice any future 1sts.

I think we will see more of a Rudy Gay type move.

I saw Gasol coming but that was an amazing tdl regardless.
The ibaka deadline and the O’Neil deadlines are probably the next most exciting so this should be better than those.

Also helps that I feel the prices teams have been paying are way over bloated lately, and that the entire league is in parity. There aren’t many teams looking to sell.

Like the idea of getting Murray for sure. That line up improves their passing which this team really needs to improve. I think that's why they have so much interest in Jacob.

How do you figure especially if you do business with them and in future years if the Knicks regress and become a lotto team then you have your own pick plus their pick which could end up being a top 5 or top 10 pick and then you would have 2 first round picks almost each year in future drafts to build a potential future core and you never know what those picks could turn into

This. But I do think they should try to at least move one of GTT or FVV contracts

You could say this about any team in the league. “What if we trade for Milwaukee’s pick next season and then giannis has a career ending injury?”
Most of NYK picks are protected anyways.

Not interested in any of their picks this season.
Next year who knows but if we are giving them a good talent in trade then I like their chances at the playoffs next season.

bro the Knicks picks are so heavily protected theyre going to be second rounders. just stop.

if Dallas has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2025, then Dallas will instead convey its 2025 2nd round pick to New York

if Detroit has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2027, then Detroit will instead convey its 2027 2nd round pick to New York
if Washington has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2026, then Washington will instead convey its 2026 2nd round pick and 2027 2nd round pick to New York
the only one that has a chance of conveying is Dallas and it is going to be garbage cause of Luka.
