It's amazing what happens when a coach plays you to your strengths instead of trying to make you something you're not at 28 years old.

One of the many brilliant Babcock moves.

    Line up tonight..

    Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander
    Mikheyev-JT-Hyman
    Petan-Spezza-Kappy
    Timashov-Goat-Engvall

    Rielly-Ceci
    Muzzin-Holl
    Dermott-Barrie

At some point they need to trade Ceci or put him on the 3rd pairing. He's just not a top 4 D.

That 3rd pairing could be a top pairing on many teams, but I donít understand moving Barrie down. Heís been very successful.

They play him quite a bit lately. Playing with Dermott isn't a slight and I wouldn't label them the 3rd pair. They're equal to Muzzin and Holl, who has been good.

Makes more sense imo to have muzzin/holl listed as the 3rd pairing.

As crappy as Detroit's goaltending situation was tonight it's still 3 in a row. We need a big run here before Christmas.

Imagine this team rolling and getting a healthy Marner back. Babcock was a cancer. He didn't like fun. This team does everything 180 degrees from that puurick.

How good has Nylander been? Very impressed so far this year. If Babcock bullied Marner, imagine the crap Nylander took! He's on pace for 30 goals and 70+ points. There's players in the league making more than 6.9 doing less.

So can we agree 6.9 isn't an overpayment now? Or is it still an overpayment because he's European? Lol.

It never was and I never believed it was.
I was shocked by the backlash of that deal.

30g/70p is his floor still though. I want more from him. Start with 82+ points and go from there.
Heís trending in that direction and still very young.

I wasn't suggesting you or anyone in particular. Just alot of the fan base turned on him last year and still haven't come around this year despite he's solid play. I think he's got another level too. Only 23. I just love how the team is playing under Keefe. Everything he's doing is almost the opposite of Babcock. Including Hutchinson starting the first of a back to back tokorrow lol. That's gotta be a kick in the pecker to the Gud Pro.
