    With the way Posey's performance has dropped I'd have no problem with him not finishing his career as a Giant. However, if the pay and performance were appropriate I'd have no problem with the inverse of that.

    It's going to be interesting to see how Posey's career plays out, there's no chance his option for 2022 gets picked up so he'll be a 35 year old free agent. If he keeps trending downward like he has the past two seasons, along with Joey Bart most likely taking his job next season, I wonder if we might see a Mauer-esque retirement situation.

    The only thing about this that makes sense was, the Giants didn't resign him. That was a great move and I give them a great deal of credit knowing the pressure was on to keep him.

    Well, I just don't see us winning another ring in the near future, take the money and rebuild this club. We need everything.
