Toppin shooting 4+ 3s in the NBA at 35%+ is totally reasonable. Not sure why that seems to be out of the realm of possibility.

It's very possible. What is he giving up on the other end though?

Also, if we run PnRs with Toppin as the screener (which is realistically the only reason why you'd want to pick Toppin in the first place), then what the heck is Mitch supposed to do?

Well, that's the big question that most us who dont want old geezer toppin would like to hear answered.

Adding toppin hurts mitch on both sides of the floor. Defensively mitch has to work harder with toppin on the floor also.

Toppin is the worst outcome. Iíd take any of the 5-6 names we usually mention over him

Toppin has some value defensively. He still has a long way to go. Iíd like to see what Thibs could do with him. Heís a hard worker.

Tomorrow we will be talking about the Knicks pick! With them sticking at 8 the most mentioned names are Hayes, Okoro, Vassell. Toppin or Halliburton if they fall. Of course maybe none of those guys!

2020 Draft Thread (Knicks Pick 8th)

Having two P&R threats on the court is a good thing to have. Mitch would obviously be the primary roll man, but Toppin can be the secondary roller if Mitch is taken away. He can also add some value over time as a P&P guy with more experience. Toppin also can dribble and pass well for a big. Heís the most NBA ready prospect and with a reasonable floor and high ceiling if he can improve his defense and consistency. Thatís not bad for #8 in a bad draft.

Patrick Williams is the worst outcome by far.

ďThe Knicks might have the assets to move up, but sources have indicated that they have their doubts about the two players most mock drafts have in the top spot, LaMelo Ball or Anthony Edwards,Ē per @StevePopper
