Someone asked why Aldridge was tweeting a rumor about Lonzo Ball. I posted what Aldridge said. I posted the video where someone was breaking down where Aldridge is basing the rumor.

You think I care about Lonzo Ball? Or have an opinion? I don't care about Ball.

I would prefer RJ Hampton over Maxey if it came to that.

Randle is not coming off the bench sorry to tell you unless we draft Obi and he is a beast right off the bat.

Whose to said that Jared Harper isn't as good as FVV, Dunn, Milton all Gleague players also?

Thibs has had young teams before like when his first got to the Bulls and the Twolves. Putting Payne and Woody on his staff only makes me more confident that they will stay young and build like the Suns, NO, Nuggets and Sacramento are doing. It's not about becoming an average playoff team. It's about growing a championship team.
Harper-Iggy-Randle-Obi would be the start of a really good G League team

Agree with both of you that I like Hampton over Maxey.

I am slightly nervous though that for some stupid reason Maxey will end up being the Donovan Mitchell of this draft.

this is exactly what i've been thinking.

Kentucky is known for pigeon holing players sometimes, like Booker & KAT recently. DM was considered a tweener, wasn't that efficient in college either, but like Maxey, I think the NBA game was more suited to him.

i also get some Westbrook vibes, WB is another guy that after his freshman college year probably wouldn't even have been a late 1st. wasnt considered a true PG either.

Maxey definitely could be a Mitchell type. he has all the physical tools and from everything i've read is just a great high character hard working kid. and with RJ being a good playmaker, I think Maxey would be fine at PG

after Ball it's a total crapshoot to me in terms of PG's or even combo guards if you want to call Maxey that.

Maxey seems like he has all the tools though and mental makeup. Starting to like him over Cole.

    Reading is fundamental...lol

Who said that would be the starting lineup? If you add FVV at 20 mil and Joe Harris at 15 mil to that lineup I don't think it's much better.

Lineup under Thibs would probably be something like:

    Tre Jones / Harper
    RJ / Frank
    Knox / Iggy
Randle / Obi (unless he dominates)
    Mitch / Wooten / Taj

May not be the most popular rotation but if the Knicks end up at 7th or 8th pick Obi will be the guy. I really think Tre Jones is underrated... Lock down defender who can score on anybody and plays team ball. He really showed what he could do this season without Zion and RJ taking all the shots at Duke. Tre gave every good point guard at the top of this draft the business.

Maxey doesnít have that kind of athleticism though.

That would honestly be both the worst starting 5 and the worst bench in the NBA. I really hope thatís not what we have to look forward to. I donít see how that would be something you would be happy with. And a new president, new coach, likely new GM, gotta give them more to work with. Unless your goal is to try and be bad again another year? Personally, Iíd prefer not to go that route. Iíd like to start seeing a real lineup around Mitch and RJ, and take the training wheels off and see what we have

And that also wonít happen, as we have to hit the cap floor.

Oof sorry man that team looks bad to me. If thatís what we roll into next season with it will be an epic fail imo.
