It’s not us, it’s the way the system is set up.
I agree with you. I'm just iffy on the steps. I think we have to fire Mike or convince him some other way why its in his interest to do this

Knicks signed way too many trash players then couldn't trade them because nobody is giving up assets and expring for expirings now they're stuck with them and the coach wants to win because he's going to be looking for a new job soon as well typical knicks situation. New president needs to speed up fast hopefully we see more than drafting and cap space trading situation going forward hopefully.

I know. But people on the board were sleeping Westbrook. With good reason he was 2 that was converted into a PG. He was athletic and jumping out of his shoes but (especially as a PG) raw.

If tonight was indeed the final game of the season, the Knicks will finish with the 6th worst record.

They have a 37.2% chance of landing in the Top 4 (9-9.6% for each pick) with 0% chance of landing 5th pick

8.6% chance of landing 6th pick
29.8% chance of landing 7th pick
20.6% chance of landing 8th pick
3.7% chance of landing 9th pick
0.1% chance of landing 10th pick

So most likely the Knicks will be picking 7th or 8th (50.4% chance), somewhere in the Top 4 or 6th overall.

It is unlikely that they pick 9th and it would be absolutely horrible fortune to pick 10th.

These wins are killing us. I get it, you never know whats going to happen with the ping pong balls. But we are currently at best odds to likely miss any of the 4 or 5 guards that could help

Agreed, I don't see Cole or LaMelo lasting to us. Even Hayes might be gone.

Only the Knicks man, only the Knicks...

Every other team low-key tanks. Hawks are doing it right now. Capela is out with a “heel injury”

And they pretty much have a set roster for next year. Starting 5, some bench pieces, another likely high draft pick. But the Knicks have mostly nothing, no real development, and will win themselves out of range of a pick they need..

Yeah. I can't imagine they won't give teams a handful of games to determine playoff berths and seeding.also they won't want ugly basketball from rusty players for a round or 2 of the playoffs. Unless the virus turns up the mortality rate I think the season is not over.

Thank god. What would we do if we didn't see Taj Randle Bullock Ellington and Elfrid getting cheered on by every young player we have.

We should have been focused on playing all our young guys the second the trade deadline was over.

Terrible job by the Knicks. But hey as long as Randle gets his empty stats I guess everything is ok. Miller SMH...

    Randle 38m
    Payton 35m

Mitch 26m - played great no foul trouble
Frank 23m - didn't play great but was attacking and coming off a great game
Knox - who was actually playing well - 16m

no other team does this... it's a sickness we have with trying to get to 25 wins.

Wow, just watched the highlight of Portis when he put Bertrans in a blender and dunked on the whole squad. Betrans defense is awful and there's no shot at him guarding the perimeter if he's getting shook by Portis. I would rather keep Randle

Such is life, but the fact that these guys just really haven't been that good kinda helps.

That's why I'd go with Wood first. Championship teams are built with 2-way players w/ IQ not 1-D specialists (there's too much gaps to cover that other players need to fill.)

    Frank - 2 way
    RJ- 2 way
    Mitch - 2 way
    ------------

Randle, Payton, Portis, - Now you see why some players bounce around the league or bounce between starters and bench. Talent is there but complete game is not. Draft players that have all-around potential - even if it takes longer (Giannis, Butler, etc.) it will pay off. BUT this is NY and we got DOLAN and ROSE and we'll draft Cole and he'll turn into Trey Young and we'll be a perennial 6th seed.

    - PF - Wood
    - Draft - Killian and Nesmith (or someone like that). Pick up a REAL backup Center. Keep Taj as a backup 4.
