The point is that the injury is a non-factor. It doesn't matter who the player is or what their perceived draft positioning is. If anything, it'll likely be another reason for teams to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Talent is way more important than conference. Knox played on Kentucky in the SEC and he sucks.

Itís too risky for Cole to come back because if he flops again, his draft stock will tank for sure. Luckily for him he can still ride out of his HS hype like Austin Rivers did.
way better in every aspect. ORtg is the measure now?

Way better how? We are talking about soph. season?

Jas freshman season wasnít even bad. He just wasnít assertive. But the eye test doesnít have them on the same level. You could tell watching Ja, he was special. There was a 0% chance he was a bust

Reddish is raw and full of talent and physical tools.

Thatís why he was picked where he was despite his production. Also heís probably never been a 3rd wheel in his life before Duke.

And again, Reddish was picked 10th. Thatís where I start to consider Cole, but I would still take Lewis over him.

ORtg captures how Cole wasnít better in every aspect.

    Morant: .569 TS%, 33.1 AST%, 18.2 TOV%, 20.4 USG%
    Cole: .501 TS%, 24.1 AST%, 15.9 TOV%, 30.0 USG%

So how is Cole better in every aspect again? He was far less efficient and a ball-hog with his high usage rate and low assist rate.

And Cole is a year older for his class so he should be more polished.

If anyone compares favorably to freshman Morant, itís the just-turned 19 year old Lewis whoís game is similar:

    Morant: .569 TS%, 33.1 AST%, 18.2 TOV%, 20.4 USG%
    Lewis: .560 TS%, 27.7 AST%, 17.7 TOV%, 24.3 USG%

And Lewis put up those numbers in the SEC. 20 year old breakout incoming like Morant did? All aboard the hype train!

stand corrected, but he played a bigger role in a much tougher conference and no one would have thought Ja was a top 10 pick after his rookie year. Cole was also a much better 3pt shooter even with the 22 foot line.

Cole has talent he was awful in college. If we are picking at 6 or later Iíd consider him but not in the top 5.

Yeah but thatís really only because Ja was lightly recruited and went to Murray State. He had to breakout statistically and carry his team to wins in order for his talent to get noticed. Whereas Cole can put up terrible numbers and still get drafted high because of his hype and school.

Also weíre comparing 20 year old Cole to 19 year old Morant. 20 year old Morant showed he can shoot.

I donít think thereís enough evidence right now to suggest Cole is anything more than a decent shooter. The positive with him obviously is that he can create his own shot, but the shots need to go in.

Lottery postponed, yes, but draft date is still June 25th, you have to guess NBA has hope for a few more 2019-2020 games?

They probably haven't bothered to change the dates.

I don't think they are planning on sticking to that date even if the league resumes. They could eliminate draft day trades if teams are still competing for the championship.
But at the same time, how long can this be postponed? They can do whatever they intend to with the draft order, whether it's a lottery or just give the picks according to standings, but the draft itself has no reason to be postponed.
