Yes of course, but thatís true for any college player entering the NBA. Talent is much more important than comp anyway.

Curry, Lillard, Morant, Young, and FVV are all good to great PGs in the league from small schools.

But that wasnít really what I was saying. I just meant that his college stats have basically translated perfectly to the NBA.

You do know that the team played much better when Cole Anthony was on the floor right?
That tells you that despite Cole's poor numbers he was a net positive on his poorly constructed team.

Could you imagine how good Cole will be once his efficiency improves and he is playing on a better built team?

I think Cole is one of those guys that will be passed up in the draft only for a bunch of teams to regret it.

If Cole Anthony is a Carmelo Anthony type of scorer we struck gold. People are insane. Melo was a great ball player in his prime.

I was just making a joke because of his name lol

I think Cole providing Meloís scoring impact is extremely unlikely.

Yep. I have been saying it for a minute. Go look at the tape of his games, he did not get a lot of help and his teammates didn't convert well on assists.

Part of Cole's poor numbers are because of shots he had to take.

Everything about Cole points to a positive transition to NBA.

I won't be disappointed if we don't get LaMelo.

I will be disappointed if we don't trade up the Clippers pick. So much opportunity there.

Only Knicks fans... the guy is likely a first ballot HOFíer and itís a bad thing to be like him?! Heís literally one of the few outcomes teams hope to get when picking in the top 3 of a draft.

Minus the Zion and AD draft years, teams wouldíve signed up for a Melo outcome for whoever they drafted at the top.

The Melo slander needs to stop. There are a lot of reasons he didnít work out for the Knicks, but he owns only a piece of that blame. Time to get over it.

Itís a little ironic that the two most popular and divisive players in the draft on here are a Melo and an Anthony. Maybe itís just meant to be that the Knicks end up with one or the other.

Was thinking this morning, basically worst case scenario we may come into this season with a roster of something like:

    Cole-Frank-RJ-Wood-Mitch
    DSJ-Dot-Bullock-Knox-Randle
    TreJones-Trier-Iggy-Wooten-Tillie

Which probably isnít a playoff team but honestly I donít hate that roster either.

You could even try to trade DSJ and Sanon and maybe some other asset for another late first and grab Nico Mannion, which would give us 3 PGs from this draft.

Again itís not a great roster but under Atkinson or Thibedeau itís a step in the right direction.

Can't start Frank. We can do better than that. He is a defensive specialist off the bench. We need to trade up that Clippers pick for another starter.

If Thibs is hired there's a good chance Frank starts IMO.

Meh, if thereís enough shooting around him you can. Again Iím not saying thatís a playoff team. Iíd like to add Hield or Joe Harris or some volume 3 point shooting guard to start at the 2 as well. Iím talking worst case scenario which is often the scenario that happens lol.

Point is itís a better worst case scenario than weíve had in a while which is a good sign.

It's to early to call it if we get a top 4 we get ball bkuz we could trade for him and not give up as much

It also depends on who gets a top 3 pick atl cle minny all dont need a pg

Ball could slip to 4th at worst and make a trade easier also if we stay at 6
