there's no question we play slower with Frank, we also play better D though too.

also RJ was on a tear early on and has come down to earth, that has hurt our offense as has loosing Mitch,

Frank is probably a situational PG, i dont think he's a primary PG, especially not on this team that has no spacing, system and lets be honest, very selfish black hole type players. Randle gets the ball he's not giving it back. That's on the FO for not going after a real PG this summer, and on Fiz for wanting to run everything through Randle. That doesn't make Frank the fall guy for being asked to do something 100% of the time that he's probably not best at.

Well Frank started 23 of 24 games before losing the job. Hes shown more signs this year but after scoring 4 or less in 8 of the last 9 games he has again been demoted. Overall the team performed terribly during his run and he was inconsistent at best. On the good side the high notes were higher and often came in new areas of the game.

I would give him one more full year under Miller without roster coaching flip flop.

I would dump Frank the first chance they get. Hopefully they could get something for him, but I doubt that would be much.

The Frank situation will tell us EVERYTHING about which direction that Knicks will be going in.

Basically Mills & Perry, dumb & dumber couldn't be happier Payton is back. Any wins to move the Knicks to 7-9th best lottery chances for #1 pick is a win in their minds. Perry signed these vets thinking they're a potential playoff team. At this point, he's just looking for a scapegoat.

Hence the Knicks are not rebuilding. They're trying to become a Playoff contender.

I would like to see Frank moved because he wasn't given any tutelage during his first two seasons. This IS his rookie season. He needs to go where he'll receive good coaching and development. Would love to see him with the Mavs, maybe Mills will take Hardaway Jr back.

He should be replaced. But it is important to point out that Payton came in and we got trounced and looked flat. So, as you rightfully point out it is not all on him but he is part of the problem.

I think we are just settling in after the momentum boost of switching coaches. He is clearly a better coach but we can only get so much better with this roster. And that's what I want to say.

There is a silver lining. If we kept this hot streak up for another month it would have fooled some into thinking we are better than they are.

We have to move Randle. Should trade Morria for the right deal. Shouldn't keep this team intact.

Frank is clearly not the answer at PG, but I think he and Payton would both look better in the starting lineup if we just separated Morris and Randle, and inserted Mitch.

The real issue is we have two ballstoppers at the 3 and 4, who really cant guard their position either. And having Randle start takes arguably our best player off the floor (Mitch).

Bench Randle, move Morris to the 4, and insert another shooter. At least the offense would look smoother.

Stop kidding yourself. If Frank was on any other team he would be a complete nobody and definitely ride the bench.

We have gave him plenty of chances since his rookie season. He played a decent amount because he "fit" the triangle, we tried playing him at SF, and he even started this season. He just isnt that good. Face it. His role in this league is limited to playing a little bit of defense during situations.

Today when Alan Hahn was on the radio someone called in and said the Knicks need to get rid of Frank he's giving you nothing out there. Hahns response was "when you're supposed to be a defensive specialist and George Hill blows by you and dunks on you, that's all I have to say about that" lmao that stole it, lol rotf

I still think Frank would have a role on a good team even if it's a minor role. Lots of good teams have specialists who come in off the bench. But yea, the clock is ticking and he's not growing.

Great defenders get dunked on, it happens. that's weak from Hahn.

I think Frank is going to be a good player, just taking him a while to figure it out but we see flashes.

the thing with Frank is, he won't command a big contract, and he doesnt hurt you out there, so if we cant get much for him in a trade, there's really no downside to keeping him
