    How about
    Betts+Price
    For
    Myers+Morejon+Myers+Potts?

    Nobody covers any salaries.

Padres add $59M to payroll for 2020 but lose Myers so payroll is now $182M, and then $32M in each 21 and 22 (assuming they don’t extend Betts). Red Sox get under tax by $27-28M ($-17M now, lower Price $31M, Betts $27M, add Myers $13.8M).

Red Sox lower payroll in 2020 to $191.6M.

    Padres new roster

    SS – Tatis Jr
    LF – Pham
    CF – Betts
    3B – Machado
    1B – Hosmer
    RF – Grisham
    C – Mejia
    2B – Profar
    Pitcher

Bench has Hedges, France, Garcia, Margot, and Olivares

    Rotation
    1. Paddack
    2. Price
    3. Richards
    4. Davies
    5. Lucchesi/Lamet

I dunno if the Padres can afford that sort of a payroll though. Red Sox could conceivably kick in up to $20M in 2020 to cover the short term payroll hit. Though, Padres probably can’t extend Betts.

If they can swing it, they become the WS favorites overnight....

Not with their current starting rotation.

Trevor Storey signed a 2 year deal worth 27 million, it buys out the last two years of arb. He's leaving some money on the table, but guys have got season-ending surgery's and been cut going into their last year of arb, so it makes sense for both sides.

They wouldn't even be favorites in their division, they still have to get past the other two teams in the state, the dodgers, and the giants.

I hope they hire him so he can do the same quality job for them that he did with the giants.

Woah. Can't believe I've never seen or heard about this 2000 brawl at Wrigley Field between the Dodgers bullpen and....the crowd. MLBTR posted about it a few hours ago.

Machado got 300. Harper got 330. Betts is better than both of them. 330 should be his starting point imo.

He's the second best player in the MLB and is very young

If he's going to sign for $300M, it needs to be 8 years (so highest AAV), otherwise, it needs to be more than $330M

Yeah, he should be getting a contract between Harper and Trout.

Like 10 years 370is million is about what he is worth.
