    Have you been drinking again?

You realize he has, in fact, irrefutably committed illegal acts for his own political benefit?

So you didn’t see the GAO report that shows Trump violates the law in improperly impounding the congressionally approved funds. The ability to ignore basic facts is truly stunning. Cognitive dissonance with Trump is truly remarkable.

Since that point we've gotten lots more info from everyone else who was involved with that actual extortion.
edited as in some parts left out, or edited as in words changed. the last part to my knowledge is not true.

I know some are pushing it's about more than the phone call. some have pushed simply withholding aid is part of it, which would be ridiculous because this has been done before and will be done again.

By what legal authority does this non-Governmental employee have to enter into agreements on behalf of the United States with a foreign government?

Democrats have always wanted impeachment, it wasn't about a phone call with Ukraine or withholding aid.

    https://dailycaller.com/2020/01/23/c...nt-2018-video/

Well before President Donald Trump made the phone call to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that is at the center of the impeachment trial, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was eager to remove the president from office.

Schumer appeared to publicly endorse impeachment as early as September 2018 — nearly 10 months before the July 2019 phone call that triggered a whistleblower complaint.

“When are you all going to impeach Trump?” Schumer was asked while walking in a Labor Day parade.

“The sooner the better,” Schumer said through his megaphone.

“We gotta get a few Republicans,” the New York senator added. “We Democrats are on your side.”

Nicky, simple question. Why are the R's so vehemently opposed to witness testimony and additional documents, which if exculpatory would aid Trumps defense?

Go ask Pelosi! She didn’t want to wait.

It is Not the Senate’s responsibility now.

BTW, welcome to the forum. It is brutal i here as I feel it is a little unbalanced.

It is the Senate's responsibility! They are the jurors. They are responsible for trial. How can they reach a conclusion / verdict without seeing the evidence and testimony of critical fact witnesses?

Dr, they are jurors. They listen and convict or acquit. I was a juror and I couldn’t demand to see more witnesses. We had to sit there and listen to both sides and then we talked about amongst ourselves to decide the case.

Some Republicans are saying they already heard this in the HOUSE.

The Founders probably didn’t want the Senate to reinvestigate what the HOUSE didn’t do.
