Idk. I mean, he's physical, but he's short and slow...i just don't think he has the tools to be good

We are fans of the same team, no need to be an ***** for me sharing an opinion.

That play where Ward came up and hit Mahomes and gave himself a stinger, he was like a missile trying to lay the boom, I see Sherman as a great tackler but not necessarily that type of player, just my opinion..

Hes an absolute ball hawk though so maybe he can be an elite FS

Sherman has brains, plays the ball better than most and is a sure tackler. I'd rather have a sure tackler than a guy who delivers a big thump. Less penalties and will stay on the field, less injuries

Fair enough, some tough choices this off season for Lynch and company

Saw that Kwon restructured his deal and clears up 8.1 million in cap. Should be able to bring ward and Armstead back pretty easily now

Sherman doesn't have the speed to play safety in this scheme. They need a safety that can fly around the field like Jimmie Ward did this year. I'm hoping that Ward doesn't get a lot of attention in free agency due to his injury history and we can bring him back on another cheap short-term deal.

I'm guessing that both players are given original round tenders. Since they weren't drafted, another team could sign them without giving up any picks. Probably 50/50 on either returning.

Currently this is my ideal offseason:

    Current cap space: $13.1 million

Cut: Marquise Goodwin - saves $3.7 million

Trade: Tevin Coleman (5th or 6th round pick is possible compensation) - frees $4.9 million

Restructure McKinnon (lower base salary to $1 million and put remaining base salary as incentives, saves more cap space than cutting him) - frees $5 million

Restructure Garoppolo (convert large amount of 2020 base salary to signing bonus) - frees $19 million

Cap space after the above - $45.7 million

    Re-sign:
    Arik Armstead (4-5 year deal)
    Jimmie Ward (2-3 year deal)
Ronald Blair (1 year below market due to injury)
Ben Garland (1 year veteran minimum)

    RFA Tenders:
    Kendrick Bourne (original round)
    Matt Breida (original round)

    ERFA Tenders:
    Daniel Brunskill
    Emmanuel Mosley
    Ross Dwelly
    Jeff Wilson
    Nick Mullens

If we do all of that, we still have plenty of cap space to add to add to the roster an impact player or two and/or possibly re-sign Sanders.

1st round of the draft: Address the offensive line.

I get what you mean by the speed, but instincts can't be taught, and I think Sherman would have that going to make him a lot better back there.

Id prefer not to bring Sanders back. Our offense took off when he got here, but I just don't see him being worth the money.

Getting Hurd and Taylor back, so it's not vital. Could use that money elsewhere if we don't resign him.

I'm seeing a lot of rumors of the 9ers signing Brady and trading JG back to the Patriots. Honestly, I'd be all for this idea

It's a terrible idea and it's not happening.
