Wow, that was fast. Good on the Braves for jumping on him. 3/$39M is a fair deal too. Now just sign Bumgarner and they have both lefties.

I would guess that he wanted to go the Braves. All he needed was a deal close to market value, and he was taking it.

His agent leveraged that really well apparently.

Said he either gets a multi-year offer before the deadline, or he was accepting the QO.

Personally, I think the QO stage should expire before the start of free agency.

I like it! I feel like teams have too much control with Q/O's... glad they were aggressive. I would guess that more players start doing that.

I would be happy to move
    Fowler
    Leone (probably DFA candidate)

I would be open to moving
    O'Neill
    Bader
    Munoz
    Carpenter
    Reyes

I would have to get a really nice package back for
    Wong
    Hudson
    DeJong
Martinez (i still think he'll be a good SP)

    Wants:
    #2 or #3 type pitcher
    backend of the bullpen guy(s)
    outfielder with high OPS
    backup catcher

I'm at the point where I was to see our young guys play in the OF. Trade away Fowler, which I think is very doable now. Trade Bader, I feel we can get some bullpen help.

O'Neill deserves a chance to show if theres anything there. I could really seeing him being a Khris Davis type guy. Have Thomas in CF and Carlson in RF with Randy A as the 4th OF and then Martinez.

Edman at 3b, DeJong at SS, Wong at 2B and Goldie at 1B. Knizner catching.

Molina, Carp, Randy, Martinez, Schrock on the bench.

Spend any money, spend in on a starting pitcher.

I think the talent is there for the outfield.

    Edman
    Wong
    Goldie
    ONeill
    Carlson
    DeJong
    Thomas
    Knizner

    Flaherty
    Martinez
    Bumgarner
    Mikolas
    Hudson

Waino in the BP and long relief, spot starts. Gant, Fernandez, Miller, Brebbia, Gallegos, someone we trade Bader for, Reyes or Cabrera

Maybe we compete, maybe we fold. No clue. Just want the young guys in the outfield to play
    2019

    QB-Lock
    RB-Montgomery
    WR-AJ Brown, Hakeem Butler
    TE-TJ Hockenson
    Edge-Allen
    LB-Devon White, Blake Cashman
    CB-Joejuan Williams
    S-Dieonte Thompson

If we trade Bader, it has to be for more than bp help. Heís worth 2-4 wins every year. Need someone with similar potential

Trade Fowler to Arizona for lower level prospects (include some cash if needed).
Trade Bader, Elehuris Montero and Griffin Roberts for Mitch Haniger

    Lineup:
    Carpenter 3B
    Wong 2B
    Goldschmidt 1B
    Haniger RF
    DeJong SS
    Molina C
    Arozarena CF
    Thomas LF

Bench: Knizner, Edman (plays almost everyday rotating), J. Martinez (pinch hitter only), O'Neill, Brock Holt (1 year, $5M)

Rotation: Flaherty, Mikolas, Martinez, Hudson, Waino

Bullpen: Gallegos, Miller, Helsley, G. Cabrera, Brebbia, Gant, Ponce De Leon

Minors: J. Fernandez, Alex Reyes, Austin Gomber, Justin Williams, Edmundo Sosa

DFA or minor trade: Webb, Munoz

    IL: Hicks til July

Wow, Farty can't help himself from insulting people, banned for a month due to the 15 points worth of infractions. That's exhaustive.

I don't believe that the Cardinals will be doing ANYTHING before the winter meetings. They will probably wait until closer to Christmas. They're going to want to wait as long as possible to find out how Carlos is healing.

At this point... my #1 choice for a FA signing is Dallas Keuchel. I think he can be had on the cheap, keeping us under budget. I want a lefty in our rotation to shake it up a little.

Jake Woodford, Elehuris Montero, and Alvaro Seijas added to the 40 man roster

Leone was DFA, no real shocker there.

Yeah, no real surprises though Seijas is a bit of a surprise. He's pretty far away and they may exhaust his options before his is MLB ready.
