As a collective whole, they are just a bunch of guys.
Coaching was pretty damned terrible last night.

Coaching definitely matters for such a young team. None of these young guys have experienced a winning season yet, they're all (besides LaVine) in the early stages of their development, and clearly haven't been coached properly on how to play defense (besides Dunn). It matters much less on a team reliant on Superstars (like LeBron with virtually every coach he's had except for Spoelstra), but this team is nowhere close to that caliber.

Last night is no exception, but Boylen's rotations were absolutely pointless. Kornett should never play that much down the stretch, Zach & Lauri should be staggered more often than not, Dunn should never be the primary ballhandler on the 2nd unit (or be allowed to play 17 empty minutes like that), and Coby shouldn't be on the bench that long when everyone else struggling to create offense. Defensively he made zero adjustments to the Knicks just going straight to the rim the entire 2nd half and didn't even attempt to get the ball out of Bobby's hands. He's an awful in-game coach and I can't imagine he has much value in the locker room either with some of the idiotic things he says to the media.

This team is so damn bad. They switch on everything and no rim protection.

Whatís crazy is, we were prolly the better team on the court in 5 of 6 games this season. Thatís how bad Boylen is.

Zach is so bad making decisions. If heís not scoring, he hurts you a lot.

It's why he can't be your 1st option and preferably not such a high usage guy. You need a better ball handler and distributor in that lead role.

He's a good player, but seriously miscast right now.
