That's in its entire history. I think only around 10 players got an offer this year, so 2 players accepting it might be considered significantly more (percentage wise).

How the unions ever allowed the QO is beyond me.

I don't think he's a bust. I think he just needs the right motivation to pick himself up & play harder.

True I should have clarified that was an historical number. My bad.

Thought it was self evident considering only 10 received offers this year.

I heard Arod in an interview and he had a great point about pitching.

He said Boone and co were so worried about letting batters see the starter a third time through and how it was a silly overreaction because instead, he used the bullpen so much they saw the same guys 6 straight games, basically.

This renders the bullpen guys almost useless due to so many looks so often and they only have two pitches .

Hence every one of our pen guys got touched up.

Yes, yes it is. At the risk of blowing my own horn.....Basically the same one I made three days ago.

In ALCS retrospect, Tanaka was great and Paxton came through in game five. However what they needed the most was length out of their starters, which they did not get from Paxton in Game 2, Sevy in Game 3, or even Tanaka in Game 4- kinda mimicked the regular season. That taxed the bullpen and got Houston acclimated to hitting off the Yankee relievers.

When talking about if Gerrit Cole/Stephen Strasburg were realistic for Yankees, Brian Cashman made it a point to say that a lot of players started their free agencies w/o the Yankees as their No. 1 destination, only to leave the Yankees saying it was the best org they played for.

    I was not.
But was I not ignoring what exists because I did it and expressing that in writing?
