    Week 7: Saints (5-1) @ Bears (3-2)

    I'd imagine Mitch plays.

    Should beat Teddy at home.

If they perform well on sunday in all 3 phases that'll get the job done for me. 4-2 is a pretty good spot after 6 games.

My hope for Mitch is he is aware of the criticism and responds to it with his play the rest of the season.

I just don't love the idea of having to restart there.

I think we take this one. Defense always gets up for these big home games and I think they can shut down Teddy.

This is the beginning of Trubisky making us all look like *******s and becoming an awesome QB too. Back on the bandwagon... until he sails another pass over someone's head (so maybe the 1st quarter).

    Bears win 23-16.

I'm "on the bandwagon " but its hard for me not to be pessimistic.

Cutler and LeBron are(were in Cutler's case) my last remnants of not being an overly cynical sports fan and having a lot of that homerism that makes sports so fun even when your team loses.

I'm trying, mane. I just default to the pessimism far too quickly from play to play.

Couple big handicappers like the Bears so that's always good.

Not calling anyone that's down on him. I have been as well. I understand the pessimism. I think it's warranted at this point. I'm still going root for him and hope like hell he turns into a stud QB. That's easily the best possible outcome here and doesn't tank an already shaky Super Bowl window for this franchise. If he just is what he is, then that window might as well be closed barring something significant in the offseason.

Not gonna get my hopes up with Trubisky. Also not gonna "eat crow" or anything in the event he ends up making me look stupid in hindsight. I am stupid. I'm a fan, not a professional scout. From my admittedly limited ability to evaluate QBs and NFL talent in general, I've not been impressed and I don't expect a whole lot. Of course I hope he proves us all wrong. But I'm not holding my breath because objectively, there's no reason to.

Kamara dealing with some type of high ankle issue, will be limited if he plays. Let's bracket Thomas all game and hopefully shut down their run game and sneak out a W.

Let Thomas go off and still win big. For fantasy reasons only.
