Really only is because of schedule. He started out with really high TD numbers that have been dropping like a stone since then. Currently the following QBs are ahead of him:

    Mahomes
    Ryan
    Wilson
    Brissett
    Cousins
    Rodgers
    Stafford
    Watson
    Wentz
    Prescott
    Winston

    And he's tied with Rivers.

Brady, Minshew, Bridgewater, Goff and Keenum are right on his heels.

It is really hard at this point to find a metric he is doing well in... besides rushing.
    Dak: 12,999 @ 66.7%, 7.6 per att, 79 TD, 32 INT
    Wentz: 11,801 @ 63.4%, 7.0 per att, 83 TD, 32 INT

Lamar Jackson is absolutely above Dak.

Hell, Dak still hasn't beaten a good team.

    Why disregard rushing?

Jackson is rushing for 6.9 yards per attempt and more than a third of his rushes have led to first downs.

I get that MVP is biased towards the QB position, but why make it a passing-only thing?

He disregards rushing because the rushing stats don't fit his narrative.

    Lamar beat Wilson's Seahawks.
    Dak beat Wentz's Eagles.
Probably the best win for each.

    Dak's #3 in comp %, Lamar is #19.
Dak's at 5.0% TD % (2 vs Miami), Lamar is at 5.1% (5 vs Miami).
    Dak's at 2.9% INT %, Lamar is at 2.3%.
    Dak's #3 Y/A at 8.9, Lamar is #11 at 7.7.

Dak's faced an average D rank of 18 on DVOA, while Lamar has faced 23 rank DVOA.

Unless we go with wins (team stat) there really isn't a case for Lamar over Dak... except rushing yards (RB stat).

Lamar said he isn't an RB. Take it up with him?

Ignoring offensive production, pass or run, is dumb.

    But hey, here we are.

We also have to include imaginary production though. If the Wentz had run the ball, maybe he would have had more yards than Lamar.

If we add Josh Allen's rush yards and TDs last year, he had basically the same output as Wentz in the the same number of games. Is Wentz = Josh Allen?

Actually I realized I forgot Brissett, and would definitely put him higher than Dak.
