If the Astros pitching rotation pans out like I think it will, I actually love it for them.

Houston gets to stay home and build on the all the hype and energy from tonight, and Greinke can recover from his last start at home with an offense that's going to be chomping at the bit to face New York. Then Verlander can pitch on a normal rest schedule at home. Houston's just so much better at Minute Maid Park offensively, and if they get legitimate run support, they could be up 2-0.

Then the red-hot Cole gets to pitch his next start in New York, easily giving the Astros their best chance to steal a game at Yankee Stadium. Plus, should this thing go to seven games, he'd be in line to start for them in Game 7.

The Yankees are no easy opponent by any means. But I like Houston's odds in this series if Greinke can give them some good innings and the bats don't go through as many anemic stretches as they did against the Rays.

Yanks have to take game 1. If they go down 0-1 then have to face Verlander and Cole, good luck. Greinke is a huge drop off from those 2, and he seems very Kershaw esque to me. Hopefully his anxiety kicks into high gear and he has a repeat performance of his DS start vs Tampa.

    Should be a fun series.

Yankees fan since exiting the womb, not going to ever give up on them. The Rays got to Verlander, they showed that he is beatable. Go Yankees! Going to be a tough series.

How long am I going to have to see lame *** fan bases twirling towels? It's like cheering for people who don't know how to cheer.

Late career Greinke has morphed into Mike Mussina. That delivery and follow through.

The only reason they exist is because of popularity of the Homer Hankies in Minnesota.
